Impala Platinum Holding Limited (Implats) is a leading producer of platinum group metals (PGMs). Implats has six mining operations and the toll refining business, Impala Refining Services. Our mines are located on three of the most significant PGM deposits in the world: the Bushveld Complex in South Africa, the Canadian Shield in North America and the Great Dyke in Zimbabwe. Impala Bafokeng’s BRPM Concentrator team, under the leadership of Concentrator Manager Ellie Moshoane, rolled out a comprehensive eight-point safety strategy. This initiative aims to foster a safer working environment, ensure the effectiveness of safety systems and enhance psychological safety. #Implats

On 27 September 2024, Implats proudly handed over a 6km fence, securing 74 hectares, to the Mcambalala Village community in the Eastern Cape. Our R1.1 million investment in this project will enable sustainable maize production for approximately 70 farmers, support at least 34 families, enhance livelihoods and food security in the area and stimulate further agricultural opportunities in the region. During its construction, the project employed 21 local people and supported two local SMMEs. #Implats
