Regional manufacturers are confident about future conditions, according to the CommBank’s Regional Manufacturers and Distributors in Focus report released today. CommBank’s report reveals the majority are expecting an uplift in revenue (68 per cent) and profit (67 per cent) in the year ahead, more bullish than their metropolitan peers. CommBank Executive General Manager Regional and Agribusiness Banking Paul Fowler said regional manufacturers have continued investing through the economic cycle to help build capacity and much-needed skills.   Leading purpose-built student accommodation provider Scape Australia has secured $3bn of debt financing and expanded its sustainable financing platform, with strong interest from Australian and global banks. A key outcome was the increase of Scape’s existing Sustainability-Linked Loan to $2.4bn, with the cost of funds linked to progress against defined sustainability objectives. Scape also secured a $570m facility, including a $500m Green Loan tranche financing several new developments targeting 5 Star Green Star ratings in key locations close to universities in Sydney and Melbourne. CBA was proud to perform the role of Joint Sustainability Coordinator on both transactions and Mandated Lead Arranger and Bookrunner on its Sustainability-Linked Loan.
