    "TV advertising was once the go-to for reaching mass audiences, while streaming on-demand platforms focused on building subscribers through their popular ad-free model. Despite many years of fast-paced growth, SVOD platforms are now under pressure to become profitable. Today, streaming platforms are carving a different path - and it’s paved in ad revenue." Managing Director of Samsung Ads APAC, Alex Spurzem discusses the shifting landscape of the TV industry. Despite major players like Paramount+, Amazon, and soon Disney+ entering the ad-supported space, TV ad spend hasn’t fully adjusted, presenting a significant opportunity for advertisers. Recent statistics reveal that Australians now spend as much time on ad-supported streaming as on linear TV. However, despite over $3.4B invested in TV advertising in 2023, only a small portion went to ad-supported streaming. In contrast, the UK allocates 21% of TV ad budgets to CTV.     🚀 Maximizing Marketing Impact with Connected TV (CTV) 🚀 As we navigate a fragmented media market, integrating CTV more strategically into your marketing plans can be a game-changer. A recent study by Yahoo, Amplified Intelligence, and OMG has highlighted a crucial finding: CTV ads are leading the pack in capturing attention. Their study reveals that 30-second video ads on CTV achieve an impressive average of 9.7 seconds of active attention and 4.4 seconds of passive attention—far surpassing mobile and desktop counterparts. Yet, despite these compelling results, Analytic Partners data revealed that CTV is currently up to 30% underutilized in marketing plans relative to the ROI it delivers. This underutilization suggests a significant opportunity for marketers to refine their strategies and leverage CTV's proven effectiveness. The study also examined the impact of advertisement placement and what devices (desktop, mobile etc.) consumers were more likely to buy a product/service from.
