📢 How can the EU unleash a clean heat wave? ✉️ Solar Heat Europe, alongside eight other organisations in the Clean Heat Europe coalition, has signed an open letter calling for stronger political action to accelerate the clean heat transition. Clean, affordable and accessible heating is a fundamental right and a key driver of Europe's competitiveness. The open letter outlines three urgent steps: ✅ Fast-track Europe’s competitiveness in clean heat ✅ Unleash a demand shock for clean heat solutions ✅ Enshrine air quality at the heart of Europe’s net zero economy 🎙️ As Solar Heat Europe’s Managing Director, Valérie Séjourné highlights, #solarthermal is a crucial homegrown renewable for Europe, and our industry is ready to meet the growing demand, but targeted support is essential. Solar Heat Europe was delighted to be invited to the launch of the EUROPEAN URBAN FORUM, an initiative addressing urban and housing-related issues. It is a privilege to have expert MEPs such as Marcos Ros Sempere, Fabienne Keller , and Gordan Bosanac leading discussions on these essential topics. 🇪🇺 The presence of Executive Vice-Presidents Raffaele Fitto and Teresa Ribera demonstrates the European Union’s strong commitment to sustainable housing and urban development. 💡MEP Marcos Ros Sempere emphasised the need to keep buildings warm and preserve air quality. #Solarthermal energy, like other EU-made clean technologies, plays a key role in achieving both objectives. Expanding its use will not only improve the comfort of Europeans but also contribute to decarbonising the energy mix. Additionally, self-production of heat is an effective way to reduce costs and empower communities. 🏡 Solar Heat Europe is committed to contributing to the forthcoming Affordable Housing initiative and to discussions within the European Urban Forum. Addressing housing affordability in Europe must also consider energy costs as a crucial factor.

We are back from from Frankfurt, where #ISH2025 brought together the best in heating and HVAC! It was wonderful to connect with our members who showcased their latest innovations in the #solarheat market and to discuss key industry challenges with European Commission representatives. A special thanks to all who made this event a success! ✨
Managing Director Solar Heat Europe- Passionate about Sustainability, Energy Transition/Decarbonisation, Circular Economy, Strategic Communications, Stakeholders Engagement
Just back from #ISH2025 in Frankfurt, the World's greatest fair dedicated to heating and HVAC ! It has been a great pleasure to meet our members exhibiting their latest innovations in #solarheat and #pvt there... notably GREENoneTEC Solarindustrie GmbH, Abora Solar, Calpak, and VENMAN SA. We were also honored to have the opportunity to organise meetings with European Commission representatives on this occasion from the Directorate General on Energy, driving the EU policy framework for better regulatory conditions for the uptake of Renewables. Thank you to Niels Ladefoged, Silvia Rezessy and in particular to Philippe Riviere for the quality time taken to meet our members and learn from their experience "on the ground". In particular, we discussed: - 📈 Latest market trends, dynamics between the 4 market segments that #solarheat can support - 🏦 Opportunities that lie ahead with the implementation of the Fit for 55 package, (notably with the #solarmandate in the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive) - 👷 The need for adequate skilled workers/installers to do a proper job for the sizing of installation and for their maintenance - 🤝 The greater synergies that could/should be promoted so that industry players could offer optimal, "system solutions" integrating the best of all technologies (eg solar heat/PVT, PV, heat pumps, and storage), leading to energy efficiencies, more affordable and predictable costs (and savings) and optimal savings for the end-users during the whole life of such systems... - 👨🏭 We also talked EU-based manufacturing (our pride in Solar Heat !), supply chains, worldwide exports experiences, but also how challenging it can be for industries to cope with very varying demands from one year to the next... and the need for greater market predictability. - 📲 We talked about the need to embrace digitalisation, "on time" visualisation of savings, R&D, the need to have adequate and customised criteria under ecodesign/energy labelling ... Great networking opportunities also with potential new members whom I hope to welcome soon in our network. Thank you especially to Ingo Lankmayr, Alejandro del Amo and Anne-Julie Mahaut, Panayis Konstantinidis and venos kioupelis and really happy to meet the President our new Italian Association SOLTERM ITALIA Associazione Italiana Solare Termico with Zeno Benciolini and Christos Travasaros from our Greek Association EBHE. Thank you also to Davide Sabbadin from European Environmental Bureau and your continued support to our technology 🙏 Last but not least... memorable souvenirs of an "interesting" train journey with my surprise neighbour Emilia (Teodora-Emilia) Motoasca !
