🌟 Reflecting on a powerful two-day #PatientSummit organized by Boehringer Ingelheim! 🌍✨ Together, people with lived experience, carers, experts, and advocates from across Europe united to put unmet needs at the forefront of healthcare transformation. 🩺💬 💡 Key Topics: 💙 Heart, Kidney, and Metabolic Conditions: Empowering patients to prevent and manage interconnected conditions with holistic support. 💙 Lung Health: Ensuring accurate diagnosis and specialist referral for complex cases. 💙 Rare Skin Conditions: Advocating for improved care and visibility for those living with rare skin conditions. 💙 Mental Health: Fostering a dignified path to recovery that empowers people to achieve their full potential. By sharing real-life experiences and recovery strategies, we explored ways to address stigma, improve support systems, and build community networks to enable individuals to thrive in their mental health journey. Advocating for personalized, compassionate care and breaking down barriers to access, we’re working towards a future where mental health is prioritized as much as physical health. As the president of Schizofreniförbundet, I was incredibly proud to be one of the speakers during the plenary lecture. I am also deeply impressed by the organization of the summit, especially the workshops, which provided hands-on insights and collaborative opportunities. Leaving the event full of new knowledge, fresh ideas, and valuable connections! ✨🙌 This summit underscored the vital role of voices from those with lived experience in shaping the future of healthcare. Let’s keep building toward a future where patients are empowered as active participants in their own health journeys.🚀🧡 A special thanks to: Deepa Maas-Sundararaman and Anja Kroon #HealthcareTransformation #PatientEmpowerment #HeartHealth #LungHealth #RareDiseases #MentalHealth #PatientEngagement #BoehringerIngelheim #schizophrenia #schizofreniförbundet
