🙋♀️ Celebrating women leading the way in tourism! Today, on #InternationalWomensDay, we’re shining a light on the woman driving our work! At the European Travel Commission, we’re proud to have a female-driven team and a network where over half of our member NTOs 🎖️ are now led by inspiring women making a real impact. While progress has been made, there’s still more to do. UN Tourism data shows that women represent 54% of the global tourism workforce, yet many remain in lower-paid roles. Advancing equal rights, power, and opportunities is key to building a truly inclusive and equitable future. 💪 Together, we have to ensure tourism becomes a sector where all women can thrive, lead, and inspire change! Who are the #WomenInTourism inspiring you today? Tag them, and let’s celebrate their impact! 👇 #WomensDay #IWD #IWD2025

🗣️ "Tourism is thriving across Europe. But if you look closely, cracks are beginning to show. Seasonality, tourism dispersion, and local perception are all becoming symptoms of a deeper issue. Europe must strive not just to be first in numbers but to lead in tourism value — delivering real benefits for both locals and visitors". Today, our CEO, Eduardo Santander, took the stage at ITB Berlin 2025 as part of the Global Roundtable. Alongside top tourism governance leaders from Albania, Croatia, and Sierra Leone, Eduardo addressed the pressing challenges facing global tourism and the need to move beyond just talking about tourism value — to real, actionable solutions. A huge thank you to #ITBBerlin2025 for fostering such valuable discussions. It’s been fantastic to connect with so many members and partners here in Berlin!
