💪 Today, we had the pleasure of attending the European Travel Commission Destination Europe Summit 2025, where Commissioner for Transport & Tourism Apostolos Tzitzikostas delivered a keynote speech. Apostolos Tzitzikostas reaffirmed the European Commission’s commitment to a safe, sustainable, and digitalised tourism industry by recognizing it as a key driver of growth for European regions. He also highlighted the crucial role of Destination Marketing Organisations (DMOs) and local authorities in achieving these objectives and announced the Commission's efforts to simplify EU funding programmes to provide better support for the sector. 🔝 At NECSTouR, we strongly welcome this vision, which aligns with our mission as a sustainable tourism network of European regions/DMOs. We stand ready to collaborate, share our expertise, and ensure that European regions remain at the heart of this strategy.
