A new law in Belgium allows employment contracts for individuals in prostitution. But let’s be clear—this isn’t about rights or protection. It’s about legitimising the commodification of the most vulnerable women, handing more power to pimps and buyers. Instead of fighting exploitation, this law reinforces it. We refuse to stand by in silence. An appeal has been filed to overturn this disgraceful law. Laws must protect, not facilitate abuse! 📢 120 feminist organisations, networks, and activists from around the world have spoken out.

On 14 March, our President Iliana Balabanova had the privilege of attending the Generation Equality Networking Reception at #CSW69! Key discussions focused on strengthening global collaboration and setting priorities to uphold the rights and equality of women and girls. 💜 Nyaradzayi Gumbonzvanda, former UN Women Executive Director, delivered a powerful opening, emphasising the urgent need for action against regression. A key takeaway from the conversations: Gender equality is a value, not an ideology. 💪

Prostitution is Violence: A Call to Action at #CSW69 At #CSW69, we brought together powerful voices to reaffirm that prostitution is a form of violence against women and to push for urgent action at all levels—global, European, and national. With over 60 attendees, this side-event featured survivors, experts, and activists dedicated to challenging the trivialisation of prostitution and addressing its increasingly digital and hidden forms. 💡 The event concluded with a call to action to re-prioritise the fight against prostitution, protect the most vulnerable and strengthen our advocacy efforts, including through the Beijing +30 commitment to survivors. A huge thank you to all speakers, participants, and organisations that continue to fight for a world free from prostitution and sexual exploitation.
