Today we had our WIC meeting at Cordeel Group in Temse. It was great to see the different clustermembers and talk about #hydrogen at this great location, that also has an onsite electrolyses from SOLENCO POWER NV connected up to a Resato Hydrogen Technology fleet owner station to fuel up their company Toyota Belgium mirai #fuelcell cars. But these were not the only cars visiting Cordeel today. We brought our faitfull astara Belux Hyundai Nexo, as well as the Honda R&D Europe #Clarity #FCEV to this occassion.

✨ WIC Meeting Wrap-Up — March 20th, 2025 Cordeel Group (C-energy) What an inspiring and insightful day! With a full house, we gathered to explore the future of hydrogen mobility, sustainable construction, and zero-emission events. 🔹 A Warm Welcome We kicked off the day with a warm welcome from Ghislain Cordeel, who invited us to Cordeel Group (C-energy) and treated us to a truly spectacular setting. The meeting room, with its breathtaking view over the Scheldt⛵ on a beautiful sunny day☀️created the perfect atmosphere for an energizing event. 🔹 Morning Highlights: ➡️ Some of our recently joined WIC members introduced themselves (Walter Tosto WTB , SoluForce , Essent) ➡️ Keynote by Stephan Herbst on Toyota Motor Corporation's hydrogen vision and their 3rd generation fuel cell system. He emphasize hydrogen as a pivotal element in Toyota's strategy to achieve carbon neutrality, expanding its applications across various sectors, including cars, stationary energy solutions, maritime uses, buses, trucks, and train mobility. ➡️ News from WIC members by Jaap van de Pas about the cooperation of VoltH2 and their cooperation with Evonik. Nathalie de Muynck en Philippe Engels of TotalEnergies joining forces with Air Liquide to decarbonize its refineries with Green Hydrogen. ➡️A fascinating site visit to Cordeel Group (C-energy), introduced by Niko Bonyns of C-energy. Here we explored some innovations like the SOLENCO POWER NV's electrolyzer, Resato Hydrogen Technology 's refueling station, C-energy's smart battery pack and NENSPOWER NEDERLAND dual fuel power generator — driving low-carbon energy solutions forward. After a networking lunch at the terrace with an estonishing view we started with: 🔹 Afternoon Workshop: During Our 'Road to Zero Emission Construction Sites and Events' workshop some powerful insights were shared thanks to the: ✅ Pitch about Diesel-free construction sites — Griet Goossens, Embuild Bouwfederatie ✅ Pitch about Sustainable events — Nina Lambrecht, Stroom-Festival & ✅Testimonial of Dirk De Keulenaer of Messer Benelux about H2 Gensets etc at Circuit of Spa Francorchamps s.a. ✅ Testimonial of Erwin Theys of ENERIA at technology festival Nerdland in Gent ✅ Innovative hydrogen solutions — Jasper Baltus of (Watermeln 🍉 ⚡ ) Conclusions: The construction and event sector do a lot of efforts to lower their CO2 footprint. Demonstrations with #hydrogen show it is a promising energy carrier to help transforming both construction and events towards more sustainability. First steps are taken but efficient permitting and more demonstrations are necessary to accelerate the use of hydrogen in these sectors. The REVIVE project, funded by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, concludes its successful demonstration of #hydrogen #fuelcell refuse trucks across Europe 🚛 💧 With 11 #zeroemission refuse trucks deployed across seven European cities - #Breda, #Groningen, #Noordenveld, #Veldhoven, #Arnhem (Netherlands), #Antwerp (Belgium), and #Gothenburg (Sweden) - the project has demonstrated the viability of #hydrogentechnology in decarbonising urban waste collection. 📢 Your update from the RH2INE program office 📢 1️⃣ week ago, we gathered with all the steering members and partners of the RH2INE-network at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges. This marked the 2️⃣nd steering committee meeting organized by Waterstofnet since taking over the program office of RH2INE. In the morning, we enjoyed a guided tour of the port area, gaining valuable insights. In the afternoon, working group updates were presented, and the steering committee made key decisions. In 3️⃣ months, we’ll do it again in Rotterdam. New decisions will be made 4️⃣ a more sustainable inland shipping sector. After a few handshakes – and yes, even a couple of high 5️⃣s – everyone returned home satisfied, to their own spot along the Rhine. In the meantime, don’t forget to follow the RH2INE LinkedIn page, where you’ll regularly receive more updates from our WaterstofNet-colleagues who are working hard to support the organization of the RH2INE program office.

Vanavond vond de 2e WaterstofNet #HydrogenAcademyNL sessie met als thema "waterstof onderzoek en ontwikkelingen" plaats bij 073 Meeting Company in s'Hertogenbosch. Vanavond presenteerden Robert Makkus van TNO over elektrolyse technologieën, Thomas Swerts van Atlas Copco over waterstofcompressoren, Ronald Cornelissen van Nedstack Fuel Cell Technology over de grondslagen van brandstofcellen en als afsluiter Stijn van Aken van Metalot over waterstofopslag én gebruik in #ijzerpoeder. feedback van de deelnemers: "een mooi programma en erg verhelderend om al deze topics te horen passeren op zo'n avond" Dank aan de presentatoren! De volgende sessie rond #Productie,#distributie & #opslag is over 2 weken.

As WaterstofNet we are excited to have been part of the event and would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations once again to all the partners involved! With the kick off of HYOFFWIND the cornerstone to kickstart H2 production is now in place: the foundation of a Flemish Hydrogen Valley.  This milestone marks a positive step forward in Belgium and Flanders’ climate ambitions. The strong leadership and the clear vision from industry pioneers like Stefan Messer and Jef Colruyt are crucial to push forward in scaling up green hydrogen production.
