Additionally, a security operation in Galmudug resulted in the death of 50 Al-Shabaab militants. 2️⃣ Americas: Chile experienced a 7.4 magnitude earthquake near San Pedro de Atacama on July 18, causing substantial concern. In the US, CrowdStrike's faulty update on July 19 led to an IT outage affecting 8.5 million Windows devices worldwide, disrupting various sectors including banks and airlines. 3️⃣ Asia-Pacific: Bangladesh saw violent clashes between protesters and police, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries across Dhaka, Chittagong, and Rangpur from July 16-21.
