The knowledge inside of your company — is it generic or specific? It's time to start digitising your know-how at scale.
𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗪𝗘𝗥 ✅ Yesterday, I asked ChatGPT (4o) to generate a password. Its suggestion? 𝗣@𝘀𝘀𝘄𝟬𝗿𝗱𝟭𝟮𝟯! 🚨 Just about the most generic password imaginable — and it considered it 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴. Clearly, it’s not. This illustrates a key point about AI: it’s brilliant at providing the most “acceptable” or generic response, but it requires critical thinking and oversight from us. By now, we all understand this. The same principle applies to how AI is used in our field: work instructions, company know-how, and product manuals. Here’s the thing — AI is primarily trained on common, publicly available knowledge. But what makes your company unique is private, undisclosed expertise. And you want to keep it that way. To truly unlock AI’s potential, it needs to work with 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆’𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 — structured, secure, and protected. Only then can it truly shine. This is why digitizing the untapped knowledge of your workers, in a secure digital format, is critical. The faster you act, the further ahead you’ll be. The companies that lead the way in digitizing their know-how will secure a competitive edge by using AI as a co-pilot for their workforce. Here’s what this know-how must be: – 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰 – 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 – 𝗨𝗽-𝘁𝗼-𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 And here’s how it needs to be managed: – 𝗨𝘀𝗲𝗿-𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 – 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 – 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗹𝘆 The best time to start was years ago. The second-best time? 𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆. #KnowledgeManagement #ArtificialIntelligence #DigitalTransformation #FutureOfWork
