Thanks European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) for the award of 7.5MEUR in total funding to help Pharrowtech develop next-generation WiFi technology at 60GHz providing lower latency, higher effective link rates and an overall better user experience. The award itself was tough to get and was only possible thanks to a great team effort with help from Zaz Ventures along the way. Experience says spending the money will be a lot less challenging :-).

In South Africa there is a significant digital divide which, if bridged, could unlock long-lasting economic change. Fibre rollouts, introduced to do just that, are facing hurdles in densely populated urban areas due to the cost of deployment and logistical complexities. So what now?     The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (@ICASA) recently opened up the 60GHz band for outdoor communications, a decision which could be a game changer for the country’s digital landscape.     Interested in knowing why?
