Today is the final day of the 61st session of the IPCC in Sofia, Bulgaria. We do believe that the global meeting was successful for the delegates, whose work is crucial in providing scientific assessments guiding international climate policy and action. 🌿🌍 Getting back to Nasekomo's hosting of a visit from 10 of the IPCC key delegates as part of the parallel program, organized with the support of the Ministry of Environment and Water of Bulgaria, we take the opportunity to express once again our satisfaction in showcasing Nasekomo Insect Center of Excellence by sharing this post of Marina Stefanova, PhD, who also joined the visit and shared her reflections.  Marina defines the visit as "one of the most curious events of the accompanying program" which makes us very pleased. "Science inspired by nature, offering an economically sustainable and useful solution that supports quality nutrition for people within the framework of the health of the planet. ✨ What an honor and delight was to welcome delegates from the 61st Session of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to Nasekomo's Center of Excellece in Sofia! The visit was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Water of Bulgaria for which we are very thankful as it was a key moment to showcase the transformative potential of the insect industry in addressing global sustainability challenges. 🌍 🌎 🌏 🙋♂️ We had the chance to share with high level delegates from IPCC our belief that the true potential for a sustainable future lies in the harmonious integration of cutting-edge technologies and the natural capabilities of insects, such as the Hermetia Illucens (#BSF). These remarkable insects efficiently convert organic by-products into valuable protein, highlighting their vital role in a circular economy and the decarbonization of agriculture. 🌱 Our R&D Director Marco Tulio Tejeda, together with our Head of Sustainability and Innovation Projects Maria Alexandrova proudly revealed how the combination of advanced technological processes and the inherent ecological efficiency of insects can lead to groundbreaking solutions while Kamen Vasilev demonstrated how Nasekomo leverages this synergy to reduce the environmental footprint of agriculture and diversify protein sources. ⚙ 🐛 🙏 We extend our heartfelt thanks to all IPCC delegates who demonstrated such an interest to visit the leading innovator in sclaing the insect industry in Europe and abroad.
