Crypto.com has received full approval to provide payment service provider (PSP) services from the Central Bank of Bahrain through its subsidiary registered in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the commercial name “FORIS GFS BH B.S.C. As part of a comprehensive plan to enhance regulatory procedures and transparency, the Labour Fund - Tamkeen approved a whistleblowing policy. This initiative aims to implement and uphold the highest standards of institutional oversight, as well as strengthening the framework of cooperation between Tamkeen and all members of the community, including both beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries of the support programs offered. The plan also includes an expansion of the dedicated channels for reporting violations, where Tamkeen has launched a dedicated whistleblowing page on the website for reporting violations related to the support programs. The channel acts as a platform for all employees, training service providers, business owners, and customers benefiting from Tamkeen’s programs can submit their cases with complete confidentiality and security. Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) has released its July 2024 Foreign Trade report, which encompasses data on Trade Balance, Imports, National Origin Exports and Re-exports. As per the report, the value of non-oil imports has increased by 5%, reaching BD464 million in July 2024 in comparison with BD441 million for the same month in 2023. The top 10 countries for imports recorded 70% of the total value of imports. On the other hand, the total value of non-oil exports (National Origin) increased by 4% to reach BD337 million during July 2024, compared to BD323 million for same month in 2023. The top 10 countries in exports (National Origin) accounted for 68% of the exports (National Origin) value. The total value of non-oil Re-exports increased by 22% to reach BD61 million during July 2024, compared to BD50 million for same month in 2023. The top 10 countries in Re-exports accounted for 84% of the re-exported value.
