Grateful for a supportive community and a team dedicated to making a difference. This past December, our leadership team at Acres spent one night in the cold for A Way Home Kamloops’ Campout to End Youth Homelessness. The goal? To better understand the struggles faced by homeless youth, while raising funds and awareness. It was a small step, but a powerful one that deepened our empathy and commitment to this cause. While the campout is over, our fundraising efforts continue until January 17th. We’ve been blown away by the support we’ve received so far, from donations to our winter coat drive to the generosity of local businesses. One night in the cold, yet only a small glimpse of what homeless youth face every day. This past weekend, our Acres leadership team participated in A Way Home Kamloops' Campout to End Youth Homelessness. It was more than a fundraising event, it was an opportunity to gain a firsthand understanding of the struggles faced by the homeless population, particularly youth. By stepping out of our comfort zones, we didn’t just talk about the issue but truly connected with it, strengthening our empathy and commitment to help.
