ASK Wellness Society and ARPA Investments commemorate their collaborative relationship, looking back on the development of The Stollery Suites. The project is an affordable residential housing facility on Kamloops’ North Shore that was built with the intention to complement The Colours on Spirit Square market housing, and the rest of the surrounding neighbourhood. ARPA was delighted to contribute to this collaboration as the developer and actively participated to help ASK Wellness Society establish a space that would welcome a diverse community. Monthly Updates on Thompson Landing on Royal Construction! - Most of the work this month is focused on Royal One, where scaffolding has been liberally installed to facilitate the application of the exterior siding, a combination of Monterey Taupe plank and stenciled brick stucco. - Suites on all five floors are in various stages of preparation. Some are paint-grade ready, while installation or sheet rock is being installed in others. - Electrical has been roughed in. - Elevators will be delivered and installed next week as well as the storefront windows for the lobby.  - Royal Two has passed its plumbing and framing inspections. - Awnings have been installed at the front of Royal One and Two. Monthly Updates on Thompson Landing on Royal Construction! On Royal One, waterproofing is being applied to the exterior of the building and finishing work has begun on the exterior. The rough-in for electrical and plumbing of the third and fourth floors of this building is complete, insulation began last week and dry wall installation will begin on July 16th. Over on Royal Two, all the framing is complete and the roof is now on. The sprinklers in this building are currently being installed, plumbing is 90% done, and concrete has been poured on all four floors. For both buildings, progress has been great, as makeup air units, which are part of the HF HVAC system and keep the buildings pressurized with fresh air running throughout, will be lifted onto the roofs this week. Since its grand opening in September 2022, Yew Street Food Hall has brought together unique, family-owned restaurants that add to the collection of fresh and local food on Kamloops’ North Shore, helping revitalize the Tranquille Market corridor and build community. Recently, Yew Street Food Hall welcomed Richard Marken as its new Operating Partner to help continue fostering a vibrant dining environment that attracts locals and visitors alike. “My partners and I decided to take on this new opportunity with Yew Street Food Hall because we are genuinely excited to carry the torch from the previous operators, whom we greatly admire,” said Marken. “Their dedication and vision have laid a solid foundation, and we are eager to build upon their success and continue the legacy they have established.” Read the full blog here: https://lnkd.in/gH4qPUG3

Monthly Updates on Thompson Landing on Royal Construction! On Royal One, the third floor is receiving its final cleanup and concrete topping will be poured in the upcoming weeks, starting at the top and working down on all the floors. Currently, crews are focused on sheeting to create a barrier and an airtight boundary to prepare for roofing. Over on the next building, Royal Two, the progress has been great as well! The roof, exterior balconies, and all electrical wiring and plumbing are complete, while the tub showers and sprinklers are being installed. Scaffolding has also been installed on the south side so the windows and walls can be tapped and wrapped in Tyvek to make them waterproof before installing the siding. The roof deck has been engineered to support optional hot tubs. Thank you to all the construction teams and subtrades for your hard work and dedication. Updates on Thompson Landing on Royal Construction! Switch plates and electrical boxes that will connect to thermostats and cables have been installed at Royal Two, and the last flight of exterior stairs has been poured. On Royal One, the fifth and final floor has been installed and throughout next week, crews will “stand” all the walls. Additionally, workers are building water detention tank number two, which helps prevent flooding if the City’s infrastructure becomes overwhelmed. Sheetrocked firewalls are also currently in place and fireproofing has been installed, which will, in the event of a fire, help contain fire within a unit and prevent flames from spreading. We are committed to building not just structures but a vibrant community on Kamloops’ North Shore, creating a new standard of waterfront living, in the city.   More updates to follow!
