This week, our team joined forces with the Calgary Police Youth Foundation to help make back to school a little more fun. Together, we helped fill 3,000 backpacks with back-to-school kits for Indigenous and marginalized students returning to school in the Fall. Imran Meghani, Director of Asset Management at Avenue Living, has a passion for real estate that is evident in his professional journey.         He started in financial reporting and planning, working with renowned national and international companies, honing his skills in forecasting, commodity analysis and foreign exchange hedging. In a bold move, Imran shifted gears by purchasing a hotel in Woodstock, Ontario, which he ran with his wife for seven years. His entrepreneurial experience eventually led him to explore new opportunities in the multi-family sector. He entered the multi-family investment space, where he leveraged his expertise in finance, operations, sales, and marketing.         After a few years in this space, Imran was seeking a better balance between his professional and family life, and both Calgary and Avenue Living sparked his interest. He was brought on as the Director of Asset Management for the north portfolio and in this role, Imran oversees properties in Edmonton, Lloydminster, Camrose, Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and Wetaskiwin, ensuring operational efficiency, prudent financial management, and optimizing portfolio performance.         Thriving on the dynamic nature of his role, Imran welcomes the challenge of daily problem-solving and seeing tangible results from his efforts. He explains, "with asset management, you're bringing the different pieces of the business together. We work with the field team on operations, with marketing for various initiatives and campaigns, and with capital expenditures to make sure the buildings are at peak performance." He stresses the importance of oversight in every aspect of asset management explaining, "we have people who depend on us to act prudently, so my role is to ensure we're actioning items quickly and efficiently and producing results for all our stakeholders."       Imran values the collaborative and innovative culture at Avenue Living, praising his coworkers' high calibre, "the team here at Avenue is amazing, this is probably the best and smartest group of people I've ever worked with."
