BCI is proud to be an investor in Eku Energy as it expands its operations and reaches new markets. Most recently, Eku launched its first commercial energy storage project in the United Kingdom: the Maldon Battery Energy Storage System in Essex. This project will add resilience to UK Power Networks and support the integration of more renewable energy. BCI first invested in Eku in 2023 through our Infrastructure & Renewable Resources program. The company is playing an important role in decarbonizing electricity grids worldwide.

BCI is pleased to announce an additional investment in Data Infrastructure Trust (“DIT”), to support its ~US$2.2 billion acquisition of ATC India. With this acquisition, DIT will soon be rebranded as Altius, housing all its telecom assets from Summit Digitel, Crest Digitel, and ATC India – creating the largest tower portfolio in India with 257,000 telecom sites in both urban and rural locations. “This investment underscores the long-term opportunity we see in India’s telecom sector. Under the new consolidated brand, Altius, we look forward to enabling greater service, network coverage and reliability to mobile network users across India,” said Helly Ajmera, Director, Infrastructure & Renewable Resources, BCI. “We are confident this acquisition is a unique opportunity to build scale and drive economic value for customers and shareholders alike.” This investment was made through BCI’s Infrastructure & Renewable Resources program, which invests in tangible long-life assets in the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific region. As part of building connections with post-secondary schools and opening a strong pipeline of up-and-coming talent, BCI partnered with Vancouver Island University to award two students the Indigenous Empowerment Award Scholarship. The scholarship includes a 4-month work term that provides hands-on experience, skill development opportunities, and professional network building.
