Earlier this week, our Marketing and Communications Coordinator Yash Makhija joined the Alumni Panel at Conestoga College’s Sustainability Professionals Networking Event as part of their SDG week to talk about career paths in sustainability and the transition from student to professional life with current students and other alumni. Sharing knowledge is one of the most effective ways to promote equity and diversity in the professional environment. "...if you want to go far, go together."

Kicked off march by joining an incredible Alumni Panel for Conestoga College’s Sustainability Professionals Networking Event as part of the SDG week— and what an energizing experience it was! A big thank you to Laura Matheson for inviting me to be part of this select group of alumni who had the chance to support, mentor, and guide the next generation of students from the Sustainable Business Management program. It was heartwarming to reconnect with old batchmates, reflect on our own journeys from student life to sustainability professionals, and share real-world insights on how to transition from classroom projects to career milestones. The speed networking format was a brilliant way to engage deeply with current students, hear their stories, and offer practical advice on navigating career paths in sustainability and business. Also, To my fellow alumni — it was so good saying hi and seeing the incredible things you’re doing out there!
