We are excited to welcome Théâtre Français de Toronto to our pop-up community space located at 985 Woodbine Avenue! On March 4th, we celebrated our partnership with Théâtre Français de Toronto (TfT) who have signed a short-term lease, free of charge, at our Woodbine and Danforth property in Toronto's Danforth Village. This collaboration reflects our commitment to building vibrant communities where we operate and develop, all in the spirit of our purpose to create places where people thrive. The event brought together community leaders, including Councillor Brad Bradford and Susan Puff from the Broadview Danforth BIA, alongside our colleagues at Choice Properties. Guests heard about our vision for 985 Woodbine—a future mixed-use development featuring rental residential, retail, a daycare and cultural spaces, including a dedicated theatre. TfT shared their enthusiasm for bringing French-language theatre to Toronto, highlighting how they’ll use the space for rehearsals, auditions, and even as a creative hub for fellow theatre companies. It's International Women's Month — a time to recognize women's achievements and advocate for gender equality. We invited a few of our women leaders to share their story and advice for those of us just starting out in our careers. First up, words of wisdom from Julie Robinson, our SVP - Construction. Julie is responsible for construction of all asset classes across Canada including retail, industrial, mixed-use and residential. She leads and is accountable for Choice Properties’ construction as well as design and engineering for our retail and industrial projects. Julie, in conjunction with development leads, also oversees the integration of our corporate environmental and social sustainability ambitions into the design and execution standards for all new gross leasable area construction projects.
