Today, in honor of Indigenous History Month, we are proud to spotlight: Deadwood Innovations Ltd. – TI’OH upgrader project “Safely and effectively developing an industrial hard-tech from the shop, to a pilot, to commercial demo is very capital intense. The flexible and non-dilutive funding from CICE is an essential growth enabler in our path to commercialization. We can maintain a core focus on de-risking the commercial techno-economics and strengthen our academic partnership, without compromising our Indigenous partner values or precious resources.” – Owen Miller, President of Deadwood Innovations Learn more about the project: https://lnkd.in/gG79-w9e
Pleasure meeting Minister Brar yesterday to discuss the Tl’Oh Upgrader and Mass Timber project with our Academic and Architectural partners, Jianhui Zhou & Neil Prakash. Wow. What a way to kick of the Natural Resources Forum! Yesterday was a power-packed day for the B.C. Centre for Innovation and Clean Energy (CICE), including a low-carbon leadership bus tour of Prince George, which took us on a visit to local sites including Lakeland Mills, Arbios Biotech, Tidewater Renewables Ltd., and the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) Wood Innovation Research Lab. This was followed by a special luncheon hosted at the Lheidli T'enneh Nation House of Ancestors, that included stories about local clean energy and climate action intiatives, including CICE-funded projects led by Lheidli T'enneh Nation and Deadwood Innovations Ltd. Inspiring is an understatement, and we thank everyone that made these amazing events possible.
