We’d like to thank the Canada's Ocean Supercluster folks for visiting our Dundee office this morning. It was a great opportunity to discuss Genoa’s exciting work as The Digital Ship Experts and potential opportunities to collaborate on future projects. We agree that strong cooperation between industry and agencies like the OSC is vital to strengthening and growing Canada’s lucrative ocean economy.

It's been a busy few days at ABCMI's Business Opportunities Conference and Tradeshow in Vancouver. We’re thrilled to celebrate the first group of graduates from our innovative All Aboard Residency Program, a testament to Genoa’s commitment to cultivating a thriving talent pipeline in shipbuilding. Supported by the successful techNL funding project, the All Aboard! Programs have drawn a diverse group of participants locally and positioned Genoa as a leader in talent development for the industry in Newfoundland. Our All Aboard! Program has three levels: ⚓ All Aboard Exposure Week, a 30-hour (one week) introductory to the Shipbuilding design industry.  🚢 All Aboard Internship, a more intensive six-week session focused on production drawings using ShipConstructor.  🛳 All Aboard Residency, a fast-paced twelve-week session focused on 3D modelling in ShipConstructor that also included site visits to four  Canadian shipyards, where they witnessed the shipbuilding operations in action! Together, these programs provide hands-on, real-world learning, an inside look into shipbuilding, and guidance for launching a career in this dynamic industry. To date, we’ve proudly hosted more than 150 weeks of training with more than 120 participants, each gaining valuable skills, knowledge, and exposure to the incredible world of shipbuilding technology. Participants received industry guidance, a stipend, and even the opportunity to progress into paid work terms, with some eventually joining Genoa as full-time team members! Here’s to our graduates and trainers at the Genoa Academy, who are shaping the future of shipbuilding!
