At Hatch, we believe that a healthy work-life balance is not just about clocking out on time; it’s about creating meaningful connections with the people we work with every day. Whether it’s sharing a meal, celebrating our diverse cultures, or simply enjoying a summer festival together, these moments remind us that work can be more than just tasks and deadlines—it can be a place where we truly belong.    Reflecting on these experiences, we’re thrilled to share some #throwback snapshots from our 'Spring into Summer Fest' in Mississauga, a Jurassic park-themed BBQ in our UK office, the unforgettable Associates BBQ in Montreal, and the vibrant celebrations of World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development across our offices in Trois-Rivières, St. John's, Halifax, and Montréal. These events were not just about having fun; they were about celebrating the diverse and inclusive culture that makes Hatch a unique place to work!    How do you enjoy spending time with your colleagues? Whether it's during a coffee break or at a company event, we’d love to hear your favorite ways to connect!     #LifeAtHatch #OneHatch #WorkLifeBalance

Is an aversion to change and a lack of appetite for innovation threatening the future of the #mining sector? Among its many challenges, the sector faces demand related to decarbonization, rising operating costs which are not offset by efficiency gains, and a need for improved waste management solutions. Yet, many organizations refuse to be the first to innovate. In our latest blog, Ricardo Porto, Senior Principal, Advisory, discusses the initiatives that players in the sector must take to not only stay in the game, but to become recognized as leaders within the industry. How can Australia embrace a circular economy for water use and boost its manufacturing sector? That's the question that Kristi McLachlan GAICD, Hatch's Regional Director of Water Australia Asia, explores in her latest article.     Why is repurposing wastewater important?     It is crucial because it allows us to conserve a finite and essential resource, ensuring its availability for generations. By reusing water in various applications such as industrial processes, we reduce the demand for fresh water and minimize the strain on natural water sources.     In this article, McLachlan is calling for changes in how Australia perceives water, as some water resources are deemed ‘waste’, yet treatment processes can give new life to water. “We could explore the potential for water reuse after treatment, rather than discharging to the environment or storing unusable water in large dams.     Discover the ripple effects of prioritizing smart water security solutions for regional water security: https://lnkd.in/gGmjPFt4   #Sustainability #WaterManagement #Wastewater #Infrastructure
