Hermana is a boutique talent management agency founded by Kayley Reed. She created Hermana after working on both sides of the equation: as a content creator, and building influencer programs for brands. Hermana is founded with this perspective and insight, and a mission to create better management relationships for influencers. Hermana means "sister" in Spanish, and our team acts as a big sister to our clients in the industry. ~ a snippet of my Tuesday running Hermana Agency ~ ✈ scheduling meetings with some of our top agency & brand partners in Toronto next week 💻 meeting on our website redesign (we haven't had a website in like 3 years, just not a priority bc we were head-down building, but it's SUCH a missed opp in our own brand credibility and we finally have a timeline to get this done) 🎙 creator media training with Social Currant and Left Hook (how to better field & prep for PR requests and interviews) 👩💼 monthly department head meeting (people/ops, finance, talent, and strategy all bring recaps on the last month's performance) 💲 creating projections for a talent x brand edit (they're creating a physical product together, which is always fun to work on outside of traditional brand deals!)

It's our birthday 🥳 🥹🫶 3 years ago, our CEO Kayley R. walked into the lawyer's office to sign incorporation documents and Hermana Agency became a business! To celebrate 3 *official* years in business, Kayley is taking us on a trip down memory lane (because it really took 10 years to get here… not 3). 2015: first time hiring an influencer. paid her $150 for a blog post. 📝 2016: created first influencer program for a brand. brought in 10x ROI. 📈 2017: received my first paid brand deal as a content creator. made $500 for an IG feed post.🤑 2018: first “big” freelance client creating UGC ($2500/month) 🤝 2019: started managing influencers. made ~$5k/month freelancing. team of 1. 🧍🏽♀️ 2020: managed first 6-figure campaign budget. team of 3. 👯♀️ 2021: hit $20k months. incorporated & got investors. team of 5. 💰 2022: hit 7-figures in revenue (only 2% of women-owned businesses achieve this). team of 6. 🏆 2023: doubled revenue. team of 12. 📈 2024: first $100K deal for an individual influencer. managing 25 influencers. growing team & talent roster for what's next… I never anticipated getting HERE! It's becoming increasingly important for brand partnerships and sponsored content to be authentic. Audiences are getting smarter, and are holding creators to a higher standard. For brands and agencies who recognize this and are casting for opportunities, it can be overwhelming. There are constantly more and more creators, and sometimes it's difficult to find a creator that's the perfect fit for a campaign. Since I've officially moved away from managing talent (eek!), I'm putting more energy into connecting with our industry friends - in order to help us all put together smart and organic collaborations. One of the ways I plan to do that is by creating a newsletter that keeps brands and agencies up to do date on our talent. Everything from life milestones, to product launches, birthdays, upcoming travel, viral content, or successful campaign examples. The goal is to help those scouting for niche campaigns to see how they can work it into what's happening organically in our talent's content already, or to use the information to inspire new campaigns.
