Connecting Canadians to healthcare.

About us

In Canada, healthcare coverage starts at the door of the doctor’s office. How you get to the doctor and any related travel costs fall to you. For people living in small and rural communities across the country, traveling long distances to their specialist medical appointments comes at a cost of time or money. Canadian families living near or below the poverty line can afford neither. We're the only national charity providing free flights to low-income Canadians who must travel to specialist medical care that does not exist in their communities. Hope Air believes that where you live in Canada and how much money you make should not determine your ability to access our healthcare system. A free flight lets families focus on what is truly important – their health. We serve people from across Canada, of every age, with any illness. Since 1986, we are proud to have arranged over 150,000 flights. Better access. Better health.

On Monday Sept 16th Edmonton International Airport (YEG) hosted Hope Air's 2nd Haul for Hope event with presenting sponsor WestJet who brought the energy to motivate teams to cross the finish line in record speed. On a beautiful Monday morning, the Edmonton community united to showcase their strength and determination by pulling a 70,000 lb plane 100 meters—symbolizing the challenging journeys patients face to access critical medical care. Big congratulations to Dawson Wallace Construction Ltd. team "Hard Hats for Hope" who won top fundraiser and fastest team! Funds raised will provide travel support for patients in financial need with all proceeds directly supporting Hope Air's mission to ensure no Canadian is left behind due to the high cost of medical travel. Stay tuned for upcoming Haul for Hope plane pulls in Kelowna, Vancouver and Toronto. For more on Haul for Hope hopeair.ca/haul

In honor of Living Donor Week, we celebrate the compassionate individuals who make the choice to donate a part of themselves, bringing hope to those awaiting transplants. Hope Air supports Canadians in accessing the medical care they need by eliminating financial barriers in transportation cost and other travel expenses. Hope Air is a proud partner of the Centre for Living Organ Donation at University Health Network (UHN) and UHN Foundation, supporting living organ donors on their life-saving journeys. Sara, a Calgary resident, made the selfless decision to donate a portion of her liver, who felt compelled to answer this call to support her cousin. Hope Air assisted her with free transportation, meal vouchers, and hotel accommodations, ensuring her trip to Toronto was stress-free. "My experience with Hope Air was incredibly easy. I couldn't believe how seamlessly they were able to provide everything I needed. It was a weight lifted off my shoulders during an already stressful and emotional time." #LDW #LivingDonorWeek

We’ve partnered with Hope Air to Haul for Hope in four Western cities across Canada. Teams of 10-12 people will race against the clock to pull one of our Q400 airplanes. Funds raised at the event will assist Hope Air to provide free medical travel support, including flights and accommodations for Canadians in financial need who must travel far from home to receive vital medical care. To kick off their Western Canada tour, our CEO, Alexis von Hoensbroech, CEO of The Calgary Airport Authority Chris Dinsdale and De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited’s General Counsel Jake Hoeppner went head-to-head with their respective teams in pulling one of our Q400s across 100m in Calgary. We’ll be in Edmonton, Kelowna and Vancouver next! Learn more about Hope Air’s mission and how to support the cause: https://lnkd.in/g657zRAG

🌟 ESET Canada Hits the Greens for a Great Cause! 🌟 Yesterday, we had an absolute blast as a hole sponsor at the CAA Club Group’s 14th Annual Charity Golf Tournament for Hope Air! 🏌️♂️⛳ Golfers were welcomed by our dynamic duo, Kathleen and Garrick, who put everyone’s corn hole skills to the test, with our custom-made corn hole boards making their grand debut.🎯 It was a fantastic day filled with prizes, new connections, and memorable moments, all for an incredible cause. We are truly honored to be part of this event and proud to be part of the Commerce Valley community in Markham. 😊

Last year’s inaugural ‘Haul for Hope’ was a highlight for our team. Not because we won the challenge in pulling the plane faster than any of the other teams (which we did do!) but because we could lend our support to such a deserving organization doing great work in both the local and national community. Infinite Investment Systems Ltd. will be back at it this year and I could not be happier to take part in Hope Air’s amazing event again. Looking forward to making more memories and supporting a great cause. Consider making a donation using the link in the post below if you are able to support.

In 2023, our team accepted the Hope Air ‘Haul for Hope’ challenge. Competing against other teams from across Toronto, the Infinite team pulled an airplane across the tarmac faster than anyone else. Well, we’re back to do it again, not only to defend our unofficial title, but to help raise even more funds for this amazing charity.   Hope Air provides travel and accommodations for Canadians in need, requiring access to medical care far from home. Since 1986, Hope Air has provided over 170,000+ travel arrangements for individuals, families and children across Canada.   If you’d like to support us, you can donate online through the Hope Air website - https://lnkd.in/gAHqNQiT.

Thank you for your generosity supporting the mission of Hope Air

Today was the Hope Air plane pull! Hope Air is an amazing organization, ensuring everyone has access to the care they need, no matter where they live, and De Havilland Canada was a proud sponsor of the "Haul for Hope' event. Despite some chilly and rainy weather, spirits were high, and teams were thrilled to pull a WestJet DHC Dash 8 across the The Calgary Airport Authority tarmac in support of the Hope Air mission. Although, team DHC brought home a first-place win as the fastest team to pull across the finish line, we were excited to join all the teams in supporting this great cause.
