Hydrostor's debut appearance at Enlit Europe 2024 was an awesome success. We welcomed hundreds of attendees from across Europe to our booth, sharing our company story, the benefits of long duration energy storage #LDES, and our portfolio of projects being developed around the world. Our very own Sarah Griffiths Savolaine and Oonagh O Grady both participated in lively panel discussions on the critical need to deploy long duration energy storage and financing priorities for future energy grids. Tomorrow is the International Day of Climate Action, a day that reminds us of the urgency to tackle climate change head-on. The negative effects of climate change are clear:    🔸 Global temperatures have already risen by 1.2°C since the late 19th century, with the last decade being the warmest on record.  🔸 2024 is on track to become the warmest year ever recorded, with August 2024 marked as the hottest August in over 175 years    According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), over 40% of global CO2 emissions can be mitigated with energy storage and flexible grid solutions. Last week, we hosted a reception with the NSW Government where we engaged on critical discussions with Energy Minister Penny Sharpe, MPs, key advisors, government agencies and our industry peers.   Minister Sharpe made a major announcement that NSW will set a target to develop an additional 12 GW hours of long duration storage between 2030 and 2034, and confirmed that NSW will retain the critical 8+ hour legislated definition that has provided the certainty required to progress long duration storage projects.   We look forward to continue working with stakeholders and deploying Advanced Compressed Air Energy Storage (A-CAES) globally! #NSW #longduration #energystorage #leadership
