We are proud to announce our next round of Building Brighter Futures bursaries, which are a part of our ongoing partnership between our Côté Gold #Mine and Indspire, an Indigenous national charity that invests in the #education of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people. Over three years, the program is expected to provide 24 post-secondary to post-secondary students from Mattagami First Nation, Flying Post First Nation and Abitibi Inland Métis Community to help them achieve their educational goals. Representatives of our Côté Gold mine located in Northern Ontario and #community members of Flying Post First Nation recently gathered for an info session and a day of #appreciation in Nipigon, Ontario. The info session provided our Côté Gold team an opportunity to update the community on matters of shared interest such as the mine’s operations, #environmental initiatives, #employment and training programs and other projects. The day finished on a high note with the group going salmon fishing together! Chief Murray Ray of Flying Post First Nation thanked IAMGOLD for its presentation and the significant contribution to the development of the community over the years. Des membres de notre mine Côté Gold située dans le Nord de l’Ontario et de la #communauté de la Première Nation Flying Post se sont récemment réunis dans le cadre d’une séance d’information et d’une journée d’#appréciation à Nipigon, en Ontario. L’équipe de Côté Gold a pu donner à la communauté des informations d’intérêt commun, comme les activités de la mine, ses initiatives environnementales, ses programmes d’embauche et de formation et autres projets. La journée s’est terminée en beauté : tout le groupe s’est réuni pour pêcher le saumon. Murray Ray, le chef de la Première Nation Flying Post, a remercié IAMGOLD de son exposé et de ses contributions importantes au développement de la communauté au fil des années.
