We were honoured to welcome award-winning author Tanya Talaga to our office yesterday. Her visit was a wonderful opportunity for our team to connect and learn as she shared stories from her latest book, The Knowing. The Knowing offers a deeply personal look into Canadian history, seen through Tanya’s family experiences and the lens of Indigenous communities. It’s a powerful reminder of the importance of storytelling in preserving our collective heritage. Our team had a fantastic time engaging with Tanya and discussing the themes of her book. Moments like these bring us closer as a team and help us appreciate the diverse voices shaping our understanding of the world. 📚 About The Knowing: Tanya Talaga’s new book invites readers to explore Canadian history through a unique and compelling narrative. It encourages reflection and understanding—definitely one to add to your reading list! We’re excited to dive deeper into The Knowing and continue the conversations it sparked. https://lnkd.in/gk5QDcgn

🌟We are thrilled to announce that Indigo has once again been recognized as one of Canada’s Most Attractive Employers by Universum! 🌏✨Securing an impressive 9th place on the 2024 list for the second consecutive year, we are honoured by this acknowledgment from students in Liberal Arts and Humanities programs across the country. In a survey encompassing over 16,600 students from 161 universities, we gained invaluable insights into what students perceive as the most attractive qualities in an employer and their ideal workplace. This recognition underscores our commitment to fostering a work environment that aligns with the aspirations of future talent. At Indigo, we are dedicated to inspiring a love for reading in every possible way. 📚✨ We extend our sincere gratitude to the students who have entrusted us with their aspirations and beliefs in our mission.

Meet Naya, her school library was one of the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation’s $100,000 Literacy Fund Grant recipients in 2019. The grant provided her school library with a budget that exceeded more than 10 years of regular funding, and helped Naya explore her love of reading. She chatted with us about what reading means to her. You can help make a difference in a young person, like Naya’s life, by donating to the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation.
