Her visit was a wonderful opportunity for our team to connect and learn as she shared stories from her latest book, The Knowing. The Knowing offers a deeply personal look into Canadian history, seen through Tanya’s family experiences and the lens of Indigenous communities. It’s a powerful reminder of the importance of storytelling in preserving our collective heritage. Our team had a fantastic time engaging with Tanya and discussing the themes of her book. Meet Naya, her school library was one of the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation’s $100,000 Literacy Fund Grant recipients in 2019. The grant provided her school library with a budget that exceeded more than 10 years of regular funding, and helped Naya explore her love of reading.
