Redefining luxury, your way.

About us

At Mejuri, we're redefining luxury. Feeling disconnected from the traditional industry narrative, CEO Noura Sakkijha leveraged her learnings as a third-generation jeweller to rethink the way we purchase jewelry—for ourselves. From that founding moment, we’ve been putting a modern spin on a legacy industry through high-quality craftsmanship, timeless design, meaningful stories and an authentic sense of community. “I founded Mejuri because I saw a jewelry industry that was built for men gifting women and not women celebrating themselves. To me, the truest expression of Mejuri is mutual uplift: all of us supporting each other, and you, our community, feeling empowered to invest in yourself and, in turn, the community around you.” - Noura Sakkijha, CEO OUR VISION A world in which everyone feels inspired to celebrate more than what we're told. To recognize the moments and memories we experience every day that matter most to us. As a female founded brand with a team of over 75% women, we are proud to announce the launch of our new series, “Portraits,” in honor of International Women's Day. This on-going series celebrates women around the world who inspire us, exploring how they view their milestones, challenges, communities, and legacies – and how jewelry plays a supporting role throughout it all. “Portraits” brings together a cast of remarkable women, each with their own unique perspective on navigating everyday life and what empowerment means to them. The cast includes our incredible Co-Founder and CEO Noura Sakkijha, chef and writer Molly Baz, artist and founder of Gohar World Laila Gohar, contemporary artist Chloe Wise, and Chief Strategy Officer at Work of Art Holdings, Isolde Brielmaier. Through candid, unscripted conversations, the series reveals the personal stories that highlight how these women empower themselves and others, reshaping traditional perceptions of the term. “We’ve always designed jewelry to champion self-expression, and the idea behind ‘Portraits’ is to spotlight women who personify this mindset—women who embrace their true selves, confidently showing up as they are, and celebrating the moments that matter most to them,” said Noura Sakkijha, CEO and Co-founder of Mejuri. “Jewelry plays a key role in honouring these milestones—both big and small—and this series captures those significant moments through authentic conversations." The series, photographed by Anna Ottum and filmed by Sacred Pact, blends short-form videos and stills with warm, natural lighting and a slightly stylized, documentarian approach, capturing intimate portraits of women whose authentic expressions and effortless joy and empowerment shine through. By allowing the conversations to unfold authentically, we aim to create a space where women can connect, reflect, and uplift both themselves and one another. Through “Portraits,” our ongoing commitment to philanthropy, and partnerships with trailblazing women across various sectors, we hope to inspire our global community to celebrate their most authentic selves. We are proud to announce our two-year partnership with tennis star Emma Navarro. The athlete, who was recently awarded the WTA’s Most Improved Player, will serve as a brand ambassador for Mejuri. Emma is a natural fit for the brand, embodying the essence of female empowerment in a sport where women have long faced challenges and resistance. As part of the partnership, Emma will exclusively wear Mejuri jewelry both on and off the court. We will also collaborate with Emma on in-person activations and future product capsules. From major tournaments across the globe—including her latest appearance at Australian Open —Emma will showcase Mejuri's modern designs that reflect her magnetic personality and love for stacking. At just 23 years old, Emma Navarro has already made a significant mark on the international tennis scene. Born in New York and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, Emma gained prominence as a junior player and has since transitioned to the professional circuit with remarkable success. Navarro, who finished 2023 ranked No. 38 in the world, made a significant leap to No. 8 this year and represented the United States at the Paris Olympics, solidifying her status as one of the most exciting stars in women's tennis. “Emma embodies everything we strive to celebrate at Mejuri,” says Noura Sakkijha, CEO and Co-founder of Mejuri. “We fell in love with Emma's remarkable blend of determination, style and charm. Not only does she exude confidence but she also remains grounded, making her all the more inspiring.” Tennis, with its natural connection to jewelry—like the tennis bracelet—offers a unique space for fashion, and Emma brings this tradition to life with her own twist. Her style on and off the court reflects both poise and individuality. “I’ve always had a deep love for jewelry and put a lot of emphasis into my everyday stack”, says Emma Navarro. “Mejuri is such an incredible brand with beautiful pieces, and I truly admire what they’re creating. It’s been such a joy getting to know the team and I am honored to be their partner - I can’t wait to see what’s next!” Off the court, she’s known for her commitment to sportsmanship and inspiring the next generation, all while finding time to enjoy life at home with her family, friends, and dogs. Her down-to-earth nature and love for community make her a natural partner for Mejuri, a brand that celebrates others as their truest selves. The collaboration between Mejuri and Emma Navarro is more than just a partnership; it’s a celebration of an individual who has worked tirelessly to create the life she wants for herself, both on and off the court. We’re thrilled to share that our Empowerment Fund has surpassed $1 million USD in contributions since its launch in 2020. This fund supports women and underrepresented communities to access the tools and resources they need to succeed. To date, the fund has provided 127 scholarships and bursaries in partnership with organizations like DESIGN THINKING AFRICA, Indspire, and UNCF. To deepen our commitment to emerging talent, we’re introducing the Mejuri Design Excellence Award. We’ll be granting $10,000 each to five top art and design schools in Canada, the U.S., and the UK, including OCAD University, Vancouver Community College (VCC), Savannah College of Art and Design, Rhode Island School of Design and Central Saint Martins, University of The Arts London. This initiative will also offer portfolio reviews, guest lectures, and mentoring to enrich students’ learning experiences. From Noura Sakkijha, our CEO and Co-Founder: “I am excited to join forces with these schools to support the next generation of designers. In a time where funding in this space is lacking, it’s essential that we provide these students with the mentorship and opportunities they deserve. Together, we can help cultivate their potential and ensure that the design  landscape continues to thrive.” You can read more about the award on WWD below, featuring an interview with our VP of Sustainability and Social Impact, Holly McHugh (she/her): https://lnkd.in/eUvAan59

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with renowned filmmaker Gia Coppola and The Directors Bureau, LLC for a multi-episode campaign that reimagines the Mejuri story as long form content. In a series of compelling episodes, co-created by Coppola and premiering following New York Fashion Week, the aspiring young women - real people, not actors - are at the crossroads of their adult lives against the backdrop of New York City. The series features five real-life friends, who include one perfectly imperfect heroine named Emma. The women celebrate ordinary moments and interactions which reveal, sometimes retrospectively, the extraordinary within the mundane. Adjacent to the brand’s own community, the 30-something year old cast includes Laura Love (Emma), Rebecca Ressler, Natalie Vall-Freed and Rozzi Crane. Mejuri’s jewelry makes an appearance as the best supporting actor. From our founder, Noura Sakkijha: “My hope is for our community to see reflections of themselves in these individuals and to know that Mejuri is dedicated to celebrating them in their truest selves no matter the occasion.” You can watch the first episode of “A New York Minute” directed by Gia Coppola below. The second episode will air on September 23rd and the third episode will air on September 30th. You can read more about the project on Harper’s Bazaar here: https://lnkd.in/eJmBBniy

We are thrilled to introduce you to our new collection made from 100% Salmon Gold, a pioneering approach to sourcing gold from abandoned legacy mines that is fully traceable from its origins and contributes to habitat restoration.  Since inception, we’ve always seen fine jewelry as a means of true self expression. We’ve been intentional about our efforts in sustainability and as the company grows, our aspirations and abilities have continued to grow. We have always been committed to traceability and protecting our environment, but we have asked ourselves how we can set bolder targets. This is why we partnered with Regeneration by RESOLVE; a revolutionary new B-Corporation that uses re-mining and processing of waste from abandoned mine sites to support rehabilitation activities and restore natural environments, while attaining minerals such as Salmon Gold. If left untreated, these abandoned mines pollute sensitive watersheds, ecosystems and native species. Regeneration is reversing the effects of past industrial demands, which altered the flow of rivers, disrupted natural habitats that were vital for the fish populations and left unsecured tailings. The journey of our Salmon Gold collection begins at the legacy mines in North America then is refined at MKS PAMP, a Swiss company renowned for its expertise in refining and minting precious metals. By leveraging MKS PAMP’s Provenance™ traceability solution the gold is individually batch refined to maintain full traceability while ensuring purity of the gold., MKS PAMP sends the gold grain to Thailand, where one of our key trusted manufacturing partners meticulously crafts a unique collection that uses only this fully traceable gold. With the opportunity to increase Salmon Gold in our products, the proportion of recycled content in our products may decrease over time. Decreasing our use of recycled gold through the increase of Salmon Gold will enable us to achieve higher levels of traceability over time while also contributing to habitat restoration along the way, aiding in our 100% traceability and climate-positive goals by 2030. Each piece in this special collection is made from 100% Salmon Gold and bears the hallmark of both Mejuri and Regeneration logos. This distinctive mark tells a compelling story of environmental stewardship and renewal, traceability and partnership, highlighting our unwavering pledge to responsible jewelry making. Thank you to everyone who worked on this partnership - especially our product team and the team at RESOLVE. To shop the collection, visit https://lnkd.in/gTjMF3by
