Last week, IMCO’s President and CEO, Bert Clark, spoke at the Global Investment Trends panel hosted by the C.D. Howe Institute. Joined by OMERS President & CEO, Blake Hutcheson and Sacha Ghai, Senior Partner, McKinsey & Company, Bert shared his thoughts on prioritizing clean energy investments in stable jurisdictions and maintaining a long-term focus amid geopolitical and market uncertainties.
Earlier this week I had the pleasure of participating in a panel at the C.D. Howe Institute with Blake Hutcheson of OMERS and Sacha Ghai of McKinsey & Company, moderated by CD Howe President & CEO William Robson. It’s the second year we have done this, and I really enjoyed hearing from Blake and Sacha as well as engaging with the luncheon guests. We covered a lot of ground, including the possibility of a recession, the upcoming US election, and investing where we have an advantage. We are living in interesting times – but it always feels this way (I share my thoughts on these topics in greater detail at the articles linked in the comments). Thanks to the CD Howe Institute and everybody who attended! #institutionalinvesting #institutionalinvesor #macroeconomics #geopolitics #investmenttrends #privatemarkets #publicmarkets #clientsuccess

Yesterday, we held our first-ever Bee Well Summit, a full-day wellness event designed to support our employees’ mental, physical, financial and social well-being. From chair massages to informative sessions on nutrition and hormonal health and wellness vendors, the event was packed with opportunities for team members to prioritize their wellbeing while connecting with colleagues. Today is also World Mental Health Day, with this year’s theme being “Mental Health at Work”. At IMCO, we understand the importance of taking time to care for your mental well-being, especially in the workplace. Our Bee Well Summit was a great reminder that prioritizing self-care can lead to a healthier, more productive life – both at work and beyond. Thank you to everyone involved in organizing yesterday’s incredible event. #WorldMentalHealthDay #LifeatIMCO #IMCOCulture #Wellness

Our Annual Fall Food Drive recently wrapped up with an amazing display of generosity from our IMCO team! Last year, we donated over 3,900 items, and this year, we exceeded our expectations with more than 5,200 items collected for the Parkdale Community Food Bank, just in time to help those in our community before the Thanksgiving holiday. As a United Way funded agency, Parkdale Community Food Bank, serves over 10,000 families each month and distributes 17-20 tonnes of food weekly, offering access with dignity and respect. They also play a crucial role in helping people reintegrate into the community economically and provide advocacy services on issues like housing and social services. Thank you to KellyAnn Pavao, Poppy Harpula, Veneza Baptista and Amber McGriskin for organizing and to everyone who donated and helped pack our contributions. #LifeatIMCO #IMCOculture #UnitedWay
