Professional Footballers’ Association Canada was formed in 2020 by Canadian Premier League players seeking accountability, fairness, and transparency. Since 2021, PFA Canada has been a candidate member of FIFPRO.
In 2022, CPL players voted unanimously in favour of PFA Canada to act as their collective bargaining agent. Since then, we continue to represent CPL players in matters related to their employment whilst negotiating a first-ever collective bargaining agreement.
PFA Canada wants above all a fair and transparent domestic football economy.
With FIFPRO, we are also committed to creating enduring, positive change regarding gender equality throughout the game in Canada and abroad.
PFA is run by the players, for the players. Members elect a Board of Directors made up of current and former professionals. This Board is supported by the Executive Director and legal counsel.
