❓ Can the availability of a sports betting product in a betting market impact consumer protection, sports integrity, and tax revenues? 💡 Earlier this year, a study by H2 Gambling Capital explored this very question, providing an analysis based on the latest market data. It examined 12 global jurisdictions with varied regulatory approaches. 👉 The study aims to offer policymakers data-driven insights to help them make informed decisions about managing consumer demand for betting products. 👀 Download the full study here: https://lnkd.in/ed9CF8Q6

We are the leading global voice on integrity for the licensed betting industry. Formerly known as ESSA.
About us
The International Betting Integrity Association is the leading global voice on integrity for the licensed betting industry. Our members share a common goal of combating betting corruption to protect the integrity of sport and their businesses. Established in 2005 and formerly known as ESSA, we are a not for profit association whose members include many of the world’s largest regulated betting operators, active across six continents. Members undergo a rigorous due diligence process and must adhere to our code of conduct committing them to responsible betting practices. The International Betting Integrity Association’s Monitoring & Alert Platform is a highly effective anti-corruption tool that detects and reports suspicious activity on its members’ betting markets. The bespoke system tracks transactional activity linked to individual consumer accounts, clearly distinguishing it from commercial monitoring systems focused on simple odds movements. The association has longstanding information sharing partnerships with leading sports bodies including FIFA, UEFA, the TIU and the IOC and many gambling regulators to utilise this data and prosecute corruption. The association maintains a policy of transparency and publishes quarterly integrity reports analysing activity reported on the Platform.

International Betting Integrity Association reposted this
I want to take a moment to remember David Pittel, the first Chairman of what was then known as the European Sports Security Association (ESSA), now the International Betting Integrity Association, who sadly passed away recently. David served as a Director at bwin where he was tasked with creating ESSA, alongside several other online operators. It was David who recruited me into the organisation, an opportunity that forever shaped my career and gave me the chance to work alongside someone whose passion for the industry was truly inspiring. For many of our stakeholders, David was not just a leader, but a mentor and a friend. His vision and dedication laid the groundwork for the association we are today. Having spoken with his family, they wanted to ensure that everyone who knew David was aware of his passing and could take a moment to reflect on his tremendous contribution to our field. Rest in peace, David.
