The weekend was buzzing with excitement, not just at the Olympics in Paris but also at home in Toronto at Sobeys Stadium. Fifty kids from the Jane and Finch and YMCA North York community groups participated in the Sobeys Kids Community Clinic, in partnership with Tennis Canada and led by former World No. 21 Canadian doubles player, Sharon Fichman. For the third year, these clinics have provided children aged 6-12 with access to quality facilities, tennis gear (including racquets and balls), free lessons, and tips and insights from well-known players and coaches. The goal is to inspire more young people to pick up a racquet and play. Thanks to our amazing partners, coaches, and volunteers for their commitment to this goal and to growing Canadian sports.
