We give all kids the best chance to live a long and healthy life.

About us

At the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation, we do four things to give all kids the best chance to live a long and healthy life: 1. We raise money in support of advancing specialized children’s physical and mental health care; 2. We thank our donors by sharing with them the impact of their gifts on the lives of Stollery kids and their families from backyards across Alberta and beyond; 3. We educate our donors about the urgent needs of the Hospital and the importance of investing in the physical and mental health of kids and youth; and 4. We advocate for the urgent and emerging needs in pediatric physical and mental health care

  • When pre-term babies are discharged from Stollery NICUs, they can still face challenges with feeding, weight gain and development, and are at a higher risk for re-admission to the Hospital. The Stollery Neonatal Home Support Team (NHST) was funded by the Foundation in 2019 as a pilot project when gaps in care were discovered for these pre-term infants after discharge. Over the past five years, the NHST program has grown to a team of five registered nurses serving patients seven days a week in the Edmonton area and beyond through in-person and virtual care to support caregivers, lower re-admission rates and allow for babies to be sent home with their families sooner than previously possible. • Meet Dominic! 💜 Dominic loves being outside – skating, bike riding, puddle jumping – you name it! After being born with a rare skin condition, having a stroke and needing both neurology and cardiac care, Dominic loves to see his Stollerific doctor and nurse friends who remind him how brave he is. • The Stollery has the best and brightest medical minds not only caring for our kids today but also researching and working towards future breakthroughs in kids’ health. ⬇️ WATCH below to learn about the vital connection between research, the specialized care offered at the Stollery Children’s Hospital and how the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation is bridging the two.

  • Imagine your child needs hundreds of checkups each year, but they’re too sick to go inside the hospital for appointments. That’s the reality for Amanda and her daughter, Amber. “In 2023, Amber had 154 appointments,” says Amanda. “When virtual health at the Stollery became a necessity, we were incredibly grateful that this service was available.” Amber has faced many challenges in her young life. Stomach pain, persistent viruses and partial dislocation of her joints and organs within her body. In 2019, Stollery doctors diagnosed Amber with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome which led to other serious diagnoses in the years to follow. Viruses are particularly unsafe given Amber’s weakened condition, so she and her family rely on virtual care as often as possible. With donor support, we’re raising $3 million over five years toward the Stollery Centre for Virtual Health to expand virtual health care at the Stollery and forever change how urgent, expert Stollery care is delivered for kids like Amber in our province and beyond.
