Acoustic Mayhem Workshop October 28-November 01, 2024 University of Delaware, Lewes, Delaware Nowadays, multi-sensor hydrographic and geophysical surveys are very common. Getting these systems to work together in harmony takes the skills of an orchestral conductor. This course helps you to remove risk by getting expert advice on how to plan your surveys and how to configure your software and sensors. The workshop style teaching encourages sharing best practices for acquiring & processing data from the different sensors. Key Learning Outcomes - Refresher on best practices for operation of multibeam, sidescan, magnetometer and sub-bottom - Assess typical multi-sensor geophysical mapping specifications - Identify and manage the compromises in resolution, accuracy and detection level that arise when working with multiple sensors - Identify the sensor which most constrains survey planning variables such as vessel speed, line spacing, towing depths and turn radius. - Plan, execute and monitor a multi-sensor geophysical survey - Know how to monitor each sensor and adapt operating parameters while maintaining project specifications Registration: info@hydrooctave.com  - Understand the major sources of uncertainty, how to plan for them before the mission and how to monitor and adapt your survey operations to achieve accuracy targets in the field.
