The HIDI Group X Alula Lighting Design are proud to be part of Lanterra Developments Ltd. 50 Scollard Development. Our team is providing mechanical and electrical engineering while Alula is providing specialized lighting for the soon to be iconic Yorkville property.
It’s been such an honour working with Lanterra Developments Ltd. over the past 7+ years on so many incredible projects, but 50 Scollard in Yorkville will always hold a special place for me. That was one of the first projects we got to work on and it’s been amazing watching this 41-story development evolve from marketing ▶️ sales launch ▶️ groundbreaking ▶️ to almost occupancy. NOW, we’re excited to celebrate a delicious new addition to the ground level of 50 Scollard, Salt Grass & Rare, an upscale restaurant designed to serve both residents and the neighborhood Set to open in mid-2025, Salt Grass & Rare is the latest concept from renowned restaurateurs Michael Dabic and Chef Derek Von Raesfeld, the visionaries behind The Butcher Chef, Oliver's Steakhouse, and Michael's on Simcoe Steakhouse. This spot is set to offer something truly unique: a stunning modern dining room, bar, and lounge, plus a grand terrace nestled in a lush green space with water features. The design will be a collaboration between Forma Officium Architects and the restaurant’s in-house team, with the menu being led by Chef Derek Von Raesfeld.
