The #Earth is populated by at least 1 #trillion species of #microorganisms. Yes, it is "#trillion" with a "T"! What species live in Canada's #oil #sands, the third largest oil reserve in the world? What do microbes do? What is their effect on the #reservoir, #production, #GHG emissions? Can we benefit from their activity and if so, how? Interested? If so, mark your calendar, attend our presentation at GeoConvention 2024 and join the discussion! Do you know that that all the bacteria on Earth combined are about 1,166 times more massive than all the humans? Are you aware that some bacteria in soil that can prevent over 90% #methane emissions into the atmosphere and can also reduce generation of #hydrogen #sulphide? Interested in learning how #microbiology can help #mitigate #methane #emissions and hydrogen sulphide generation in oil and gas wells? If so, mark your calendar and attend our presentation at the SPE-WIA Workshop. See you there! Interesting fact: each gram of soil can contain up to 10 billion bacterial cells. Specific bacteria act as a biofilter and can oxidize #methane preventing over 90% of methane entering the atmosphere. Conversion of methane into less harmful compounds is a nature-based solution to #reduce #emissions from different industrial processes, in particular #oil and #gas wells. At URSA Cleantech Ltd., we are developing innovative technology to mitigate fugitive emissions with microbial tools. Intriguing? Interested in learning more? If so, let's chat!
