With the ongoing heat wave pushing power grids to their limits, the need for reliable and sustainable energy sources has never been clearer. Extreme weather conditions put immense pressure on electricity supplies around the world, often leading to brownouts, blackouts and energy shortages. This is where waste to energy (WtE) comes into play. By converting waste into electricity, WtE provides a clean and dependable energy source that can bolster our grids during times of need. The Varme Canada team has been wrangling up some serious fun at The Calgary Stampede this week, and the last few days have been action-packed! Here are some of the highlights: 🌾 Attended Alberta's Industrial Heartland Association's Stampede reception event and met with Alberta NDP Leader Naheed Nenshi & Deputy Leader Rakhi Pancholi, as well as Alberta's Minister of Energy and Minerals, Brian Jean. 🤝 Went to the Alberta Indigenous Opportunities Corporation networking event and chatted with their VP of Investments, Scott Alanen, CPA, CBV, CFM, ICD.D. 🍖 Checked out the BMO client appreciation event at South Block Barbecue & Brewing Co. 🏇 Watched the Chuckwagon races with our legal partner, Bennett Jones.
