    Despite U.S. companies spending nearly $8 billion on bias training in 2020, unconscious bias continues to hinder the recruitment and advancement of underrepresented groups. A recent report from the Equality Action Center (EAC) and the Conference Board highlights the effectiveness of "bias interrupters"—data-driven strategies designed to identify and mitigate these biases. For example, one tech company in the study saw an increase in job offers to women after introducing bias interrupters during the hiring process.
