Setting the standard for measuring the effects of cannabis

About us

Zentrela Inc. is a Canadian neurotechnology pioneer and creator of the first true scientific method for measuring the actual psychoactive effects of cannabis. Zentrela is advancing the world’s understanding of cannabis by creating the largest scientific database of consumer cannabis experiences through Observational Studies. Our vision is to set the standard for measuring cannabis effects by becoming the most reliable and accurate provider of cannabis effect information. Our consumer research is powered by the Cognalyzer, our proprietary neurotechnology platform that uses advanced machine learning algorithms to analyze consumer EEG data. Zentrela Inc. was proudly founded in Hamilton, Ontario by the entrepreneur Israel Gasperin, with the support of Dr. Dan Bosnyak, a University of McMaster neuroscientist with +20 years of unique experience in EEG technology, Neuroscience and AI.

I’m excited to announce that we’re expanding our unique EEG research to the entire consumer packaged goods (CPG) market, beyond just cannabis companies! The global non-therapeutic CPG industry has faced challenges in conducting scientific human research to optimize how they test, market, differentiate, and sell their products. While traditional clinical research is excellent for medical purposes, it’s often not viable for non-therapeutic CPG brands looking for a fast and cost-effective way to test and prove their products' efficacy. Our proprietary AI, neurotechnology, and IRB-approved research model provide the fastest and most affordable way to objectively quantify the impact of products on the brain. Follow us to learn about our upcoming studies! Zentrela Inc. #innovation #entrepreneurship #research #CPG #branding #marketing

🧠💆♂️ Top 5 Cannabis Science Papers That Altered My Brain Chemistry The body of evidence supporting cannabis is growing rapidly: over 4,300 papers were published last year alone (averaging 12 a day), on a wide array of topics: 🏥 Clinical trials & observational studies 💊 Pharmacology and toxicology 🧬 Breeding and genomics 👩🌾 Agronomic methods ⚙️ New technologies ⚖️ Social outcomes 👨👨👧👧 Public health One year ago I began collecting news for the Cannamonitor brief, which has grown to >1500 subscribers since. Initially, I gathered a few papers that caught my eye, but I soon went full beast mode. Now, we process hundreds of scientific articles every month, retaining the top 25-50 for the brief. Here are 5 studies published in the last few years that have struck me the most: 👃 Aroma Impacts More than THC: The Nose Knows: Aroma, but Not THC Mediates the Subjective Effects of Smoked and Vaporized Cannabis Flower: https://lnkd.in/dEViX2HE ↳ The study highlights the importance of factors beyond cannabinoid content in determining the effects of cannabis, as shown by Ethan Russo, MD and colleagues. 🍃 Aroma is Not Driven by Terpenes: Minor, Nonterpenoid Volatile Compounds Drive the Aroma Differences of Exotic Cannabis: https://lnkd.in/dFV37bYd ↳ Aroma differences of cannabis are driven by minor sulfur compounds, as demonstrated by this study (and the series on specific smells that followed) sponsored by Abstrax Tech, Inc. 🥊 Entourage Effect Hits Harder than THC: Cannabis “Entourage Effect,” Not THC Potency, Responsible for Psychoactive Experience: https://lnkd.in/d9VrdTRM ↳ A novel encephalogram study conducted by PAX and Zentrela Inc. showed faster onset and greater psychoactive experience with full-spectrum live rosin vs distillate-based products. 🧬 Genetic Ancestry Reveals Domestication History: Large-scale whole-genome resequencing unravels the domestication history of Cannabis sativa: https://lnkd.in/dVYGBQnf ↳ Genomic study finds 4 clusters of cannabis genetic ancestry, suggesting domestication likely occurred 12,000 years ago in East Asia and not in Central or South Asia. 👬 Twin Study Dispels Psychiatric Risk Myth: Limited psychological and social effects of lifetime cannabis use frequency: Evidence from a 30-year community study of 4,078 twins: https://lnkd.in/daAWN6H7 ↳ A twin study found genetic confounding to be a significant factor in the association of cannabis use with psychiatric conditions, showing only a weak relationship with drug use disorders. Many other studies could have likely made it into this list. What are the most insightful papers that you have read? Let me know in the comments! 👍 PS: A special edition of the Brief is coming next week to celebrate 1 full year. Subscribe to make sure you won’t miss it! 📩https://lnkd.in/dBBsB9-Z

Have you ever wondered why certain CBD products relax consumers and others don't at all, despite containing identical amounts of CBD? This occurs because the efficacy of a relaxation effect isn't solely dependent on the CBD quantity in a product, but also on various factors such as how CBD is integrated with other ingredients and the method used to infuse all the components in a product. Our recent crossover 🧠 EEG study (link below) reveals a striking contrast in efficacy at increasing the relaxation state among study subjects for two products with identical CBD content (50mg per unit). However one of them also contains TERPENES, which are known to enhance the effects of cannabinoids. TAKEAWAYS: ☑ For CONSUMERS, it's crucial to recognize ⚠ that relying solely on CBD or THC information when purchasing products may not guarantee reliability. Prior to making a purchase, take the time to conduct some research on the products and brands you're considering. For example, you can refer to this paper to determine which of the two CBD products effectively induced relaxation in study participants. ☑ If you’re a RETAILER, you should ask brand owners to provide scientific evidence about the effectiveness of their products in satisfying your customers. This could serve as another criterion for determining which products should be shelf in your store. Reach out to us if you want to learn more about all the EEG-based product effect studies we've conducted. ☑ As a BRAND OWNER with genuinely effective products, you now have the exceptional chance to substantiate their effectiveness through scientific, objective, and regulatory-compliant research means. Feel free to drop a comment or send a direct message if you're interested in discussing further this new publication. I hope you find this information useful! Thank you 🙏 PUBLICATION LINK: https://lnkd.in/g2PEwQN9 Zentrela Inc. #CBD #terpenes #entourageeffect #wellness #cannabisresearch #neurotechnology #EEG #AI #cognalyzer #CUSICResearch
