C3 Alliance applauds Premier David Eby and the BC Government for the recent announcement that BC will be fast-tracking the permitting and approvals process for 18 resource projects across the province. This commitment is a significant step toward strengthening the resource sector and its vital role in BC’s economy and reaffirms the commitments BC shared at C3’s BC Natural Resources Forum. We are particularly pleased to see two projects that C3’s Advisory Services team is directly supporting on this list: 🔹 Skeena Gold + Silver’s Eskay Creek Revitalization Project 🔹 The Brewster Wind Project, a partnership between Wei Wai Kum First Nation and Capstone Infrastructure Corporation. This announcement marks an exciting time for resource development in BC, and we look forward to supporting this next phase of sustainable growth! #BCNaturalResourcesForum #NaturalResourceSector #IndigenousPartnerships #SustainableGrowth #C3Alliance

We were pleased to continue our long-standing sponsorship of the annual BC Natural Resources Forum in January. This year’s Forum focused on how Purpose, Partnerships and Prosperity work together to drive positive economic and social impact in BC and beyond. Our very own Russ Brausse, Sr. Manager, Facilities, Construction, & Water joined the Water is Life industry panel, with experts from BC’s natural resource industries, First Nations and environmental non-government organizations. Russ shared Ovintiv's innovation around water resource hubs in the Montney, as part of our approach to fresh water conservation and industrial water reuse efforts. Together, we shared ways to identify opportunities and challenges, while working collectively with governments and regulators to further sustainability efforts in our industry. Another great Forum in the books! Thank you to Rio Tinto, our patron sponsor, for enhancing our stage with the powerful totem pole designed by Haisla Artist Ab Morrison-Hayward and crafted by the Rio Tinto BC Works fabricating team. This remarkable aluminium piece was a collaboration between Haisla Nation and Rio Tinto to recognize the story of their journey from past to present. A similar aluminum totem pole was unveiled at Rio Tinto’s 70th anniversary and now stands as a permanent installation outside their main office in Kitimat to represent the relationship between industry and the Haisla Nation. Thank you to Chief Councillor Crystal Smith, ICD.D, Kevin Dobbin and Ab Morrison-Hayward for unveiling this stunning piece of art.
