🌐 Digital wallets are revolutionizing how we pay, verify identity and manage funds on the go. But did you know regulatory differences, as well as technical and currency conversion issues can cause challenges when we cross borders? Our Secretary-General Sergio Mujica had the privilege of discussing how #InternationalStandards can help achieve interoperability for digital wallets at last week’s OpenWallet High Level Forum in Davos, organized by the OpenWallet Foundation/The Linux Foundation and the International Telecommunication Union and hosted by the Swiss Federal Office of Justice.  Held during the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting, partners emphasized the need for collaboration among governments, academia, tech developers, civil society, and standards bodies to globalize digital wallets.  📱 How can #standards help challenges faced by digital wallets? They enhance data security and system robustness, crucial for digital identity systems. Standards ensure interoperability by defining specifications and requirements, enabling seamless communication and data exchange across borders and systems.
