Park Innovaare is an innovation park situated in close proximity to the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) and its large state-of-the-art accelerator-based research facilities. Here, driven by PSI’s expertise, innovations in the fields of photonics & quantum, advanced manufacturing & semiconductors, life sciences and energy & sustainability into marketable products and solutions. The purpose of Park Innovaare is to develop and offer newly established and relocating companies an exceptional, focused support program, to continuously adapt the program to the needs of those companies, and to market requirements, with the aim of quickly transforming investments and technologies into marketable innovations. The companies located at Park Innovaare benefit from an access to the PSI’s large research facilities and the opportunity to collaborate with a number of highly qualified specialists, researchers, and engineers as well as an international network of institutes, universities, development partners, and knowledge transfer platforms based nearby.

The well-attended NanoTec Apéro of the Swiss Nanoscience Institute (SNI), University of Basel took place yesterday at Switzerland Innovation Park Innovaare. The event offered the approximately 70 participants an ideal opportunity to learn about the #applied research projects in the Nano-Argovia program through presentations and posters, to expand their own network and to exchange ideas about new collaborations. Many thanks to all participants and especially to the speakers Mario El Kazzi (PSI Paul Scherrer Institut), Gerard Gadea (SNI) and Dr. Christian Grünzweig Grünzweig (ANAXAM) for their inspiring talks about the successes of the Nano Argovia project “BatCoat”, the SNI's Nano Technology Center and ANAXAM - Technology transfer center for advanced manufacturing. A big thank you also goes to Thomas Jung and his colleagues for the guided tours at the Paul Scherrer Institute and to our hosts from Switzerland Innovation Park Innovaare.
