🌱 On October 23, the Round Table on Responsible Soy Association (RTRS) Task Force Brazil held its third meeting of the year to explore definitions of regenerative agriculture. This online event gathered 50 representatives from member organizations and RTRS-certified producers to discuss concepts, techniques, and the unique context facing Brazilian agriculture. 🌍 As a proud member of the Working Group-WG4 “Biodiversity and Consumption” established by the One Planet network - 10YFP Consumer Information Programme, Round Table on Responsible Soy Association (RTRS) participated in the recent International Workshop in Bonn, Germany. ✳️ Hosted by the Bundesamt für Naturschutz (BFN) (German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation), this workshop focused on enhancing sustainable consumption to protect biodiversity and ecosystem services. ❇️ Key topics included innovative policy instruments relevant to the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and the Global Biodiversity Framework. 🌱 For the first time, the Round Table on Responsible Soy Association (RTRS) participated in Climate Week (Sept 21-29), a global initiative that brings together experts to tackle the urgent challenges of climate change. 🌱 Our Executive Global Director, Luiza Bruscato, spoke at the session titled “Mobilizing Finance and Science: Nature-Based Climate Solutions for the Brazilian Amazon” on September 26, hosted by The J.M. Kaplan Fund in New York and organized by the Woodwell Climate Research Center and ECCON Soluções Ambientais. She emphasized the critical importance of sustainable solutions in agriculture and the role of certification in achieving conservation goals. 📍 This presentation was just one of several activities she participated in during Climate Week NYC.
