Swiss Quantum Initiative hat dies direkt geteilt
Day 1: Swiss-Canadian Quantum Symposium A panel of renowned quantum experts launched the Swiss-Canadian Quantum Symposium as opening day of the Swiss Innovation Meets Alberta week. With representatives of the four Swiss #Quantum hot spots in Geneva, Lausanne, Basel and Zurich present at Platform Calgary, the stage was set for engaged conversations about and collaborations with Canada's quantum centers in Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto and Sherbrooke. Insightful presentations were provided by Prof. Wolfgang Tittel (University of Geneva/Swiss Quantum Commission), Prof. Barry Sanders (University of Calgary/Quantum City) Dr. Anu Unnikrishnan ,(Quantum Center, ETH Zurich) Dr. Catherine Lefebvre, PhD,(OQI – Open Quantum Institute) and Prof. Alannah Hallas (CIFAR/The University of British Columbia). Brendan Karch from Swissnex in Boston and New York moderated the discussion. In his welcoming remarks, ambassador Olaf Kjelsen emphasized the importance of collaboration in one of the 4 key pillar topics of the Swiss-Canadian Joint Statement on Science and Technology and Thomas Landis, the COO of QAI Ventures specified the role of venture funds for quantum empowerment. During the networking and dinner reception the topics raised during the panel discussions informed the conversations and Shona Kinley of Novartis Canada and Consul General Thomas Schneider delineated their respective work in Alberta.
