Young talents who are willing to make a difference and leverage the power of sport to address social challenges in their communities now have the opportunity to apply for the International Olympic Committee (IOC)’s Young Leaders Programme 2025-2028. Any young person aged between 20 and 28 can register by 21 October 2024 to benefit from the initial four-week Learning Sprint, comprising four virtual sessions and topic-specific reflection tasks. After successfully completing the Learning Sprint, a candidate becomes eligible to apply for the IOC Young Leaders Programme. Applications will be open from 18 November to 16 December 2024. Our mission is to ensure that Olympic knowledge is permanently enriched and made accessible. Through our programmes and services, we support the work of all stakeholders of the Olympic Movement but also foster Olympic education, teaching and research among professors, researchers, students and the over 60 academic Olympic Studies and Research Centres (OSRCs) around the world. Discover the Olympic World Library, our library catalogue for easy access to our unique collection, which includes official Olympic publications by the International Olympic Committee, the Organising Committees of the Olympic Games and academic books, articles, selected dissertations on all topics of interest of the Olympic Movement, the Olympic Games, the Sports, the athletes and the philosophy of Olympism. Located next to The Olympic Museum in Lausanne (Switzerland), our facilities are open to the public Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and offer researchers, professionals and students access to the International Olympic Committee’s historical archives and over 38,000 publications, of which over 11.500 documents are in digital format.

📣 Protecting the health of the athletes is one of the major priorities for the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and its Medical and Scientific Commission, which has now opened registration to its 15th edition of the Advanced Team Physician Course, which will take in Rome, Italy from 22-24 October 2024. The IOC Advanced Team Physician, Cardiology and Respiratory courses are designed for high level team physicians from National Olympic Committees and International Federations. They consist of interactive lectures and assignments from leading experienced team physicians and academicians from fields in sports medicine.
