Topping Out at Timber Square! 🔝** We couldn't be prouder to be a part of this exceptional London project. This is all thanks to the great collaboration within the entire wide client team that is turning this vision into reality, as well as the high emphasis on the sustainability of the project. 🌍 The Timber Square project is raising the bar in reducing embodied carbon not only by preserving most of the original Print Building but also by using recycled steel. Further more, significant savings of nearly 6,500 tons of CO2 are achieved by using timber CLT floor slabs. 🌱 We are also contributing to substantial embodied CO2 savings with our façade, where Ultra Low Carbon aluminum alloy from Schüco International KG with a high content of recycled aluminum is used. 🌱 During the topping-out ceremony last week, there was a lot of praise from Landsec and Mace for the collaboration, hard work, and great progress, including towards us. And we surely don't need to say that hearing this feels really good! 💪 In this context, besides thanking the client and everyone in their team, we must also express great thanks to our entire team and our partnering installation company CTR. Our London office has a great new addition to the team!   Patrick Jones has joined us as a Senior Commercial Manager, bringing a wealth of experience from Lindner, Permasteelisa, Mace, and most recently, Skanska UK. With over 25 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Main Contracting, and Subcontracting, Patrick has delivered innovative cost management solutions on a wide range of global projects.   Outside of work, Patrick is a big Liverpool FC fan, a Formula 1 enthusiast, and enjoys riding motorbikes. Another important milestone in the journey of the La Maison LVMH – ATP project in Paris has been reached! 💪 We have successfully tested the prototype of the monumental sliding doors of the Eastern façade, which represent the entrance to the large exhibition gallery from the natural outdoor amphitheater. The 1:1 scale mock-up was tested at the Schüco test center in Bielefeld for water tightness, wind resistance, and impact resistance. A few years ago, we didn't think about the significant impact of selecting materials with lower embodied CO2 content on the environment! Wood Wharf J1/J3 at Canary Wharf with Canary Wharf Group and Timber Square with Landsec in London's Southwark. In these two ongoing projects for manufacturing our unitised façades, we have been using aluminum systems made from high-recycled-content alloys, means materials in the ULC (Ultra Low Carbon) category. The use of Ultra Low Carbon Circal 75 alloys from Hydro/Wicona at Wood Wharf J1/J3 and ULC from Schüco at Timber Square, with a total volume of approximately 560 tons, means a saving of about 1,000 tons of embodied CO2 in comparison if using "only" Low Carbon aluminum! 👍 We are excited to be part of projects that set high goals in sustainability and ecology. 🌱 #wearesipral

Good coffee, good cause!   At Sipral, every coffee from our café contributes to meaningful charitable projects: 1️⃣ Supporting Klokánek Štěrboholy to improve conditions and bring joy to children. 2️⃣ Enhancing comfort for clients at the Long-Term Care Facility in Vršovice. 3️⃣ Helping the Center for Palliative Care improve the quality of life for patients and their families.   This Christmas, we took it a step further – our holiday treats were made by the sheltered café of the non-profit organization Pojďte dál. Every bite brought not only the taste of the holidays but also the joy of giving! The curtain walling facade is typically estimated at around 60 years. However, to ensure the facade meets modern and increasingly stringent energy standards, refurbishment often becomes necessary after just 25 years.   On this topic, our colleague Ing. Roman Šnajdr, a long-standing member of the Sipral team, Chairman of the Technical Committee of ČKLOP, and author of technical standards in the field of facades, has written an insightful article. Representatives of the client and the project management team visited our design and manufacturing facilities, where they had the opportunity to tour our factory and observe the assembly process of facade modules for the La Maison LVMH – ATP project in Paris.   During their visit, they viewed the first completed units of the serial production of standard facade modules, a specific module designed for installation above the glazed roof of the connecting wing that underwent 300 cycles of opening tests, and one of the prototypes for the mechanism of the monumental doors on the eastern facade. This mechanism was used for functional tests. Another prototype of the monumental doors is currently being tested in Bielefeld, Germany. The third door prototype will undergo final acoustic testing at the beginning of February 2025.
