This is a special announcement from our CEO and Co-Founder Joel Tasche... "Day in and day out, our teams all over the world are dedicated to addressing plastic pollution and exploring solutions. This work takes us to places most people never visit — like dirty beaches far from resorts, settlements without waste management, and dumpsites where thousands of tons of waste burn daily. Thankfully, there are countless people and organizations committed to creating change.   From waste workers collecting plastic for a living, grassroots companies implementing recycling systems, to government officials striving for a brighter future and companies on a mission to reduce waste and move towards circular practices. This experience is a privilege, filling our team with hope for a better, cleaner, and more equitable future. We want to share that privilege with you in this short video https://lnkd.in/ePPAykRG Be sure to follow our YouTube channel for more episodes from this trip to the largest landfill in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Rain or shine ☔️ our waste collection teams are out, ensuring plastic is kept out of the ocean - which often means working by the beach. But climate change has made rains and storms more frequent. Making waste collection more challenging for teams on-the-ground. The Konad team - made up of Geethu, Sajana, Sabira and Sabira, needed new footwear to keep them safe and comfortable whilst doing their job. Our Impact Team quickly got to work, involving the workers in the discussion and finding a solution they were all happy with. This was possible thanks to the support of our community, who not only funds plastic collection but dignified working conditions for waste collectors 💙 What about the question that Joel poses at the end of the video... All of this work is making the world a cleaner place, and more steps towards building a solution to plastic pollution 🌍 Also, how contagious are those smiles from the Bali school children? Super stars 😍 Thanks for your continued support 💙 Brands, you can get involved here > https://lnkd.in/d8_4Ag-R #wastemanagement #plasticpollution #reduceplasticwaste

*New* Case Study: Phizz x CleanHub 🧡 We’re thrilled to share the inspiring story of how Phizz is revolutionizing the effervescent market—one plastic collection at a time. Phizz has big plans for sustainability, and its successful partnership with CleanHub is helping to make them a reality. This year, Phizz has committed to funding the recovery of 68,015 kg of plastic waste! This means that for every Phizz product sold, 1.5 times its weight in plastic waste is collected and recycled through CleanHub, ensuring it never reaches our oceans. But Phizz’s approach to sustainability doesn’t stop there. As Olivia Morrison, their Head of Marketing, explains, “It’s about integrating CleanHub fundamentally into your plan, rather than just saying ‘we’re partnered with CleanHub.’ You need it as a core, fundamental pillar.” We're so proud to be collaborating with Phizz - a brand that's committed to a cleaner planet and enhancing the lives of coastal communities worldwide 🌊 👉 Read the full case study here: https://lnkd.in/daQyHh6F

We may not always be able to see them, but microplastics clearly pose a huge threat to our planet. 🌏 At the same time, plastic manufacturing continues at an unprecedented pace around our planet, meaning the long-term impact of microplastics could be felt for centuries to come. More research into microplastics' long-term impacts on human health is necessary. However, the consensus is that increasing microplastic in our oceans and environment isn’t good news. Tackling microplastics won’t be achieved through a single route. Instead, scientists, governments, and individuals will need to come together and take collective action to stop the spread of microplastics around our world. 🌎
