Info

Welcome to DB SCHENKER | 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 – nice to see you here and thank you for showing interest into our work. We are the team that translates 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱𝘀 for operation and 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, we are the ones to match your startup solution with the 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 in the 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘀. Together we find 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘂𝘀𝗲-𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 in the organization and define and 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗞𝗣𝗜𝘀 for the pilot phase, 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀, change, sweat and 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱. 𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄, 𝗽𝗶𝘃𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆. Why 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹? Well, quite literal, we do have a lot of terminals, and at the end of the day, a terminal at its core has the function to inbound a delivery, reorganize it and then bring it to the right outbound gate. That pretty much sums it up what we are doing with you as a startup. In the logo you perhaps find a hint towards a package, pallet, box, container, - at least we do – and the little dot – 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽. 𝗪𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗴𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵. We know 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰, 𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁– and it is 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 – it might take some time, but rest assured, once we are moving, there is a unstoppable power behind it which helps you in your growth journey. Corporate Venturing Expert 💡 I advise companies on how Venture Clienting, Corporate Venture Building and Corporate Venture Capital can help them to innovate their business | MBA, ex VC, PE & Entrepreneur

Venture Clienting is THE rising star of corporate innovation. For good reason? Clearly, it is no news that large and midsize companies use products and services of startups. But what's new is: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 Gone are the days of trying random startup collaborations, based on ideas that came from anywhere but the actual problem owner. Today: ✓ Strong units set up 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 to identify the most crucial problems in the core business and scout startup solutions efficiently. ✓ Once potential startups are found, 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗖𝘀 uncover whether their solutions actually add value and can be adopted long-term. ✓ 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 by the Venture Clienting unit with continuous involvement of the problem owner. Sounds complicated? Not at all. 💡Venture Clienting is the innovation tool for immediate added value. → Close to the core business, low-risk and fast. And who are the pioneers? 🎉 By popular demand, I'm happy to share my 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗔𝗖𝗛 with you today. Some at scale with dedicated branded units, some at earlier stages. They all have their share in the innovation of Central Europe. ❌ But with all the celebration, there's also a risk. Especially in corporate innovation, we've seen rising stars burning fast. And the jury is still out on Venture Clienting. It is up to the corporates, their units, providers and ecosystem around them to stay true at what made the concept great. Jumping the hype-train by using the term for old-school innovation doesn't help. What does, are 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 adoptions of the 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 startup solutions independent of typical corporate obstacles. ♻️ Then we'll see more innovations yielding more collaborations yielding more startups. Big chance for Europe. 👏 Let's go. 💬 What's your view: Is Venture Clienting here to stay? P.S. Do you want to find out how your company can also benefit from Venture Clienting efficiently? Feel free to reach out.

Buenas noches BARCELONA ++ First and most importantly I extend my deepest condolences to all the people affected by the DANA weather tragedy. The devastating floods have resulted in significant loss of life, and beyond imaginable emotional distress. ++ Barcelona is one of my favorite cities in Europe, that is why I am very appreciative of the Barcelona Deep Tech Summit for inviting me to contribute to this great conference. Thank you Jordi Martorell. This tech conference is part of the Smart City Expo World Congress and so far I have seen, met, learned many new smart technologies, disruptive business models and future-creating people. So this is a warm welcome to schedule a meeting with me for tomorrow if you are here. Tomorrow morning I will jump-in as a moderator for a topic that is very close to my heart: a session about woman empowerment: With this briefing: “Navigating the business world as a woman, particularly within the tech industry, can present a unique set of challenges, from contending with stereotypes to encountering limited advancement opportunities, gender biases, and unsupportive work cultures, whether in established corporations or small start-ups. Given the pivotal role of the tech sector in shaping our collective future, fostering an inclusive environment is crucial” - I couldn’t say no. So I keep you posted, Have a wonderful evening, Ronja

Hej Good Morning Startup Scouts, let's go hunting - our treasure map? The business pain points. These "pain points" guide us as we sift through the global startup ecosystem, looking for marvelous startup solutions that help us to further automate and digitalize our core business at DB Schenker. And just like any treasure hunt, it’s not just about knowing where to look—it’s about understanding what we need, where, when, and why. So we can stand tall in the rain. But every hunt starts with a map. The clearer the pain point, the more precise our search can be. With each scouting mission, we dive deeper into our internal network and startup ecosystem to find those gems hidden in plain sight. And when we strike? We bring it back to the business, carefully matching the startup to the business pain point owner. Sometimes the treasure is obvious, sometimes it’s elusive, but the journey always brings new discoveries and opportunities. It introduces us to brilliant minds inside and outside our organization. Thus - it’s not about collecting as many startups as possible. It’s about finding the one that fits and adding lasting value to our global operations. If you're on your own treasure hunt, whether as a #startup, #investor, or #corporate innovator, let’s learn from one another. Wishing you a great start into the day ahead - and stand tall in the rain. DB SCHENKER | STARTup terminal [·] and Ronja

✨ Weekly wisdom ✨ Earlier this week, we shared a post about Lisa’s visit to our colleagues in Vietnam, where she exchanged insights with teams in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. This exchange not only deepened relationships but also enhanced our innovation efforts in logistics across land, air, and ocean operations. Now, we’d love to hear your thoughts:
