For nearly 25 years, Bernd Mayländer has been ensuring safety on the world's racetracks as the Formula 1 Safety Car driver. For him, safety is not only of the utmost importance in motorsport, but also in everyday road traffic. We had the opportunity to accompany Bernd Mayländer to his vehicle inspection in Germany, where he demonstrated how important self-checks are in everyday life and what needs to be considered while doing them. We’ve just wrapped up the Hamburg Sustainability Conference, and what an incredible two days it was! Global organizations, governments, politicians, civil society and experts from around the world came together to discuss, network and share insights on how to forge alliances for a more sustainable future. 🤝 A special shoutout to our DEKRA team, led by CEO Stan Zurkiewicz, alongside Guido Kutschera, Mark Thomä, Maik Beermann and Sebastian Bartels, for positioning DEKRA as a key enabler and accelerator of sustainability initiatives.     Stan participated in several impactful panels, where he shared our vision and strategies for driving sustainability in the TIC sector. His insights resonated deeply, emphasizing the importance of collaboration across industries.    It's clear that collaboration between politics, business, NGOs, and science is essential to drive meaningful change. In Costa Rica, DEKRA reinforces its commitment to service excellence. Following international service standards, the measures include the training and hiring of personnel, as well as the extension of opening hours at all of its facilities. DEKRA began operations in Costa Rica in October 2022, and has performed more than 4,200,000 vehicle technical inspections to date at its 16 stations throughout the country. Mobility Data Space (MDS) is a new sharing community designed to enable networking, data trading, and collaboration in a dynamic mobility ecosystem. The MDS catalog knows virtually no limits when it comes to digital information from the most diverse areas of the mobility sector. The MDS is funded by the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport Affairs and is part of the European cloud initiative Gaia-X, a project to build a high-performance, competitive, secure, and trustworthy data infrastructure for Europe. The declared goal of the MDS is to connect providers of the respective data with people who need it for the development of new business models in order to promote cross-sector cooperation between transport companies, the automotive industry, mobility service providers, and local authorities. 🌍🔋 Sustainability in HV Battery Testing: Insights from the CAR BATTERY DAYS    Sustainability is a key component of the battery value chain. We also need to focus on this during the testing procedures. Filip Klug gave insights about this at this year’s CAR BATTERY DAYS.
